（1） Improve the reading and speaking skills.

Important words：Christmas， lie，novel， dead， business， punish， warn， present， warmth， spread.

Important phrases： think of， true meaning of， the importance of， think about， care about， the ghost of， used to be， end up， take sb back to， remind of， wake up， find out， in need， true spirit of.

2. 能力目標(biāo)

培養(yǎng)學(xué)生閱讀能力及良好的閱讀品質(zhì)，能自己讀懂文章并完成相關(guān)習(xí)題。通過閱能，積極思考和推理字里行間所透露出的信息以及作者的意圖。

3. 情感目標(biāo)

指導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過閱讀文本，明白圣誕節(jié)的真正含義是把愛和快樂分享給我們周圍的人，學(xué)會(huì)用善良和熱情對(duì)待身邊的每個(gè)人，向世界傳遞愛與歡樂。

采用分層閱讀法和文化滲透的方法，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生積極參與閱讀活動(dòng)，通過對(duì)中西方文化的比較及滲透，提升學(xué)生理解力。

通過背景知識(shí)、深層閱讀理解西方節(jié)日圣誕節(jié)的真正含義和圣誕節(jié)帶給人們的啟示和快樂。

四、教學(xué)過程

Step1. Leading in

Show a picture of Christmas and ask the students to say what festival it is？ And let students say something about it. Then according to what they say to have a mind map about Christmas. According to common things，lead the symbols and spirit. Expect them to find the information after the first reading.

出示圣誕節(jié)日的圖片，讓學(xué)生回答什么節(jié)日？并說說他們知道的信息，教師根據(jù)學(xué)生表述date， food， gift， Christmas tree， Santa Claus等，板書Christmas，和學(xué)生一起完成簡(jiǎn)單的思維圖。（通過頭腦風(fēng)暴，讓學(xué)生的注意力馬上集中到圣誕節(jié)的話題，談及他們知道的common things并且引出本節(jié)課主旨symbols和 spirit，期待孩子們?cè)诔踝x文本時(shí)獲取信息）

設(shè)計(jì)說明：（通過對(duì)圖片的感官認(rèn)知，讓學(xué)生回憶圣誕節(jié)的活動(dòng)，板書活動(dòng)內(nèi)容，交流圣誕精神，形成閱讀期待。）

Step2. Skimming

Ask the students to read the passage quickly and find the spirit in the first paragraph， underline some difficult names and Christmas ghost. Teacher can explain them to students so that they can understand the passage easily.

讓學(xué)生快速閱讀文章，發(fā)現(xiàn)圣誕節(jié)的symbols或spirit，并劃出一些專有名詞，教師進(jìn)行適當(dāng)解釋，幫助學(xué)生了解相關(guān)背景，降低閱讀的難度。（學(xué)生會(huì)在第一段找到圣誕精神，通過勾劃專有名詞Charles Dickens，A Christmas Carol， Scrooge， Jacob Marley幫助學(xué)生理解文章，如the Ghost of Christmas Past， the Ghost of Christmas Present， the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come可以幫助學(xué)生理解故事，如可以幫助學(xué)生梳理三個(gè)圣誕精靈的事情）

設(shè)計(jì)說明：（通過快速閱讀，讓學(xué)生找出文本的中心意思，大致了解圣誕節(jié)并且思考文本所講的圣誕節(jié)和他們眼里的圣誕節(jié)有什么不一樣，激發(fā)他們更深層次閱讀的興趣。）

Step3. Scanning

策略：教師提醒學(xué)生關(guān)注本課的閱讀策略，要求學(xué)生在閱讀時(shí)思考和推理字里行間所透露出的信息以及作者的意圖。

1. Read the first and second paragraph to answer the questions in 2b.

2. Read the third paragraph to answer the questions in 2c and then have a simple retell to each other.

3. Read the fourth paragraph to answer this question.（What does Scrooge decide to do after seeing the three ghosts？）

設(shè)計(jì)說明：（通過分層細(xì)讀課文，了解文本信息，掌握文本滲透的基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)及西方文化知識(shí)，深層理解圣誕節(jié)的真正含義及精神。）

Step4. Reading and practicing

Ask the students to look through the passage again ， then find the answers in 2d ，The teacher can help them to finish them together.

設(shè)計(jì)說明：（讓學(xué)生瀏覽2d的習(xí)題，帶著問題再次閱讀課文，培養(yǎng)孩子尋找答案、推導(dǎo)答案的閱讀習(xí)慣，并能組織正確的語(yǔ)言進(jìn)行表達(dá)，提高閱讀效率。）

Step5. Homework

1. Read the passage aloud and try to retell it.

2. Share the passage with their family.

五、教學(xué)反思

本節(jié)課是一節(jié)閱讀課，它的最終目的是讓孩子們明白圣誕節(jié)的真正含義是把愛和快樂分享給我們周圍的人，學(xué)會(huì)用善良和熱情對(duì)待身邊的每個(gè)人，向世界傳遞愛與歡樂。所以，筆者以培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的閱讀興趣和情感教育設(shè)計(jì)了本課，其目的也是讓孩子們通過對(duì)本課的學(xué)習(xí)領(lǐng)悟并懂得分享的意義和快樂。
