英語單詞和經典電影臺詞

學英語首先要過的是單詞關，但背單詞是一件特別乏味、單調的事情，所以背單詞也成為基礎較差學生極為頭痛的事情。許多專家建議單詞要在句子中背，句子應在段落中記，而段落要放在文章里想，就是強調不應該孤立背單詞，而要把它們放在情境中去記憶。筆者偶然在一次欣賞經典英文電影的同時，產生了一個想法：我們為何不把單詞、短語放在電影臺詞中背呢？在教學中我努力挖掘，發現有很多重要的單詞、短語，都能在經典電影中找到。

現以高中英語一些重要單詞、短語為例，歸納整理如下：

1.survive

If Aragorn survives this war， you will still be parted. (the Lord of the Rings)

如果Aragorn 能在這場戰爭中幸存下來，你們兩個將來還會被分開。（《指環王》）

2.would rather

I’d rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone. (the Lord of the Rings)

我寧愿和你共同度過這一生，也不愿孤獨地面對這漫長的歲月。（《指環王》）

3.for example

The rifle is the first weapon you learn how to use; the knife， for example， is the last thing you learn. (Leon)

來復槍是你要學習使用的第一種武器，再比如說小刀則是你最后要學的武器。（《這個殺手不太冷》）

4.be supposed to do

I was supposed to die in the field with honor. That was my destiny. (Forrest Gump)

5.worth

6.make a choice
