摘 要:本文基于高中整套教材大觀念,以人教版高中英語選擇性必修第四冊Unit 4 Using language板塊為例,以志愿服務為主題,圍繞多模態語篇展開教學,利用思維導圖,助力學生構思寫作框架。教師通過組織學生進行互評自評,引導學生關注并了解公益事業,啟發學生聯系自身實際討論志愿服務活動的意義和參與方式,進一步聯通生活實踐。

一、教學內容分析
人教版高中英語選擇性必修第四冊Unit 4 Using language板塊的內容,圍繞志愿服務這一主題展開,通過博客文章、演講、視頻、廣告等多模態語篇展示志愿服務、志愿者組織、國家援助等內容,旨在引導學生關注并了解公益事業,啟發學生聯系自身實際討論志愿服務活動的意義和參與方式,幫助學生理解對外援助的意義。
二、單元整體教學設計思路
由于本單元是高三年級最后一本教材的最后一個單元,所以基于高中整套教材大觀念,將學生已學過的與本單元主題意義有關的語篇進行整合展開教學是本單元教學設計的靈魂和主線。
三、單元教學設計(以Using language讀寫課為例)
(一)學情分析
Before this class, they have learned the words, expressions and some background knowledge related to the theme of this unit—Sharing in the Opening page, Reading & Thinking and Using Language—Meet students volunteers.Besides, they have learned how to write a speech about how music can change a person's life in Book 2,Unit 5 and Annie's speech about Fred Hollows.So, the students know the structure and feature of a speech but they may still have problems in making a speech about China's aid & volunteering in English due to lacking the knowledge about the background information about China's aid and some new rhetorical devices. Therefore, they need more chances to practice reading & writing skills and equip themselves with the ability to make a speech about China's aid & volunteer work.
(二)教學目標
By the end of the class,the students will be able to,
1.Summarize the organization and language features by reading the speech.
2.Apply writing skills into practice to write a speech about China's aid to othercountries.
3.Know the importance of giving help to other countries.
(三)教學重點
Guide the students to write a speech about China's aid to other countries and share it in class.
(四)教學難點
1.How to guide the students to summarize the structure and language features by reading the speech.
2.How to guide the students to write their own speech by using proper writing skills and proper using-language abilities.
(五)教學過程
Activity 1. Lead- in: The Power of Example
T:So far in this unit, we have learned a lot about sharing.
Jo, an Australian woman who worked for two years as a volunteer teacher in Papua New Guinea.
Fred hollows, an Australian eye doctor. He founded Fred hollows foundation to help people avoid blindness.
Liu FEI, a Chinese volunteer, work with a local organization engaging in AIDS prevention in Africa,engaging in AIDS prevention in Africa.
Liu Ming, A Chinese volunteer building railway connecting China and Zambia.
Xu Yuan, a 52- year- old Chinese volunteer in Ghana. She says everyone deserves the right to be happy. She feels happy.
This is the power of example!
Just as what it goes in the Book of Songs: "You throw a peach to me, I give you a white jade for friendship." So, to help others is really a virtue of friendship. Do you want to be a volunteer?Peach or jade?Is it worth it? What is the volunteer quality? Johnny is talking about how to organize a volunteer project.
Jesseand Susan are talking about how to take part in a volunteer project. They all have a good capacity of organization, cooperation and communication.
Why not take an action?
Do you know how to call on more people to get involved in the volunteer project?
Yes. Create an advertisement. Create a poster. Make public speech.

【設計意圖】
1.導入部分基于文秋芳提出的產出導向法,教師以單元主題意義為引領,通過引導學生復習已學過的語篇內容,自然理性地導入新課的教學目標。創設學校將舉辦關于中國援助的演講比賽的真實的寫作語境,直指寫作主題,讓學生明確:(1)新課產出任務是什么?(2)為什么要進行這個演講?這個演講的意義是什么?然后根據寫作任務有目的地閱讀,以獲取完成寫作任務需要的各種支撐素材。
2.教師結合本單元語篇內容,以演講稿的語言風格和形式進行導入詞的設計,充分將演講稿常用的多種語言修辭手法運用于導入詞設計中。
3.注重中西方文化的融合,結合單元主題意義進行中西方文化對比學習,浸潤式地進行愛國主義教育,促使學生增強民族自豪感。
4.教授學生演講稿中常用的修辭手法有排比、反問和引用。
Activity 2. 寫作背景知識輸入——The Power of China
T: Let's look at the topic of it—China's Aid to other countries. Now in order to get full preparation for it, I'd like to ask you some questions for it.First, what is China's Aid? What does China do to aid other countries?Do you know how to make a speech? So, in this class, I like to help you to learn how to make a speech about China's aid to other countries.
Look,in the picture, how happy they are! This picture is about a story about China's Aid. More than 1000 wells have been built in Ghana to solve the drinking problems for local people. Have you noticed the logo in this picture? What can you see in it? The Chinese knot is designed to show the idea of building a global community of shared futurefor mankind.
What does China do to aid other countries? Do you know the belt and road initiative?Open your books at page 41. What kind of projects does the Belt and Road carry out?What is the purpose of the Belt and Road?
Besides in the countries in the Belt and Road, China has built a lot of railways, airport, roads and ports in other countries.Especially during the pandemic time,our government has constantly provided financial and material assistance to countries in need since the outbreak of COVID19,which includes sending qualified medical workers as well as anti-pandemic supplies. So, we can see this is the Power of China. Next,watch a speech video about China's Aid.
【設計意圖】
以“The Power of China”為主題,設計聽、說、讀、看活動,拓展關于中國援助的背景知識,引導學生為下一步的閱讀和寫作做好語言輸入。
1.結合本單元已經學過的語篇內容,將其作為寫作背景知識,帶領學生做好讀前輸入。
2.通過觀看視頻讓學生感受演講者的語言表達魅力和精神力量。
Activity 3. Read for the structure and the language feature.
復習已學過的“Sara's Speech ”和“Annie's Speech”兩篇演講稿,遷移創新關于演講稿的structure和language feature的知識。

將新舊知識融合,實現遷移創新。
Activity 4. Writing
1. Draw your own mind map about writing a new speech and write.
2.Assessment, presentation and revision according to the checklist.
3.展示教師所寫的演講稿范文,為學生樹立良好榜樣。
【設計意圖】
利用思維導圖,助力學生構思寫作框架。引導學生進行互評和自評,優化產出成果,之后展開全班共評,展示寫作范文,踐行英語學習活動觀,培養學生的邏輯思維和發散性思維能力,落實核心素養培養目標。
Activity 5.Assignment
1.Draw your own mind map about how to make a speech.
2.Reflect and polish your writing work and get ready to attend the English speech contest.
