My sister
北京 劉紫霞
My sister is a beautiful girl , just like her name Zi Wei. People who know her like her very much , because she has a kind heart.
My sister has been a nurse for three years at a local hospital. She is very much considerate1 of her patients'personal feelings as well as their physical conditions. She takes every care of her patients regardless of 2 their different social positions. She has been interested in nursing and enjoys her work greatly. Recently she has been awarded a medal of “Let the World Be Filled With Love”and become head nurse in her department—the youngest head nurse in the history of the hospital.
I am proud of having such an outstanding sister. I will follow the example of her and work hard to be a useful person in the future.

My Younger Brother
新疆 韓子雄
My younger brother was very selfish when he was a little boy. He did not want to share things with other people. For example, when he bought a chocolate cake, he put it in a secret place where I couldn’t find. Then he ate it all by himself. He never helped others. He said he was busy. In fact, only a game of football made him very busy. He did not care whether what he did made others angry or troubled others. For instance, on one night he played strong and loud music till one o’clock in the morning.
But since he went to the Junior Middle School he has changed a lot. He often helps grandma with housework, helps mom with cooking and helps his classmates with their lessons. He often says, “I cannot center on myself. A selfish person will have no friends.” Seeing his change, I am very happy. And I am very proud of having such a brother.
A Bright Boy
甘肅 高 達
I have a little brother. He is very bright and intelligent. The favorite thing he does is to play toy bricks1. He has several bags of toy bricks1. Every day the first thing he does on entering the house is to sit on the ground and build various things with his toy bricks.
I sometimes take delight in watching the things he made. He is a boy of imagination. The toys he makes are all made out of his mind. Whatever he sees, he bears in mind2. Later he surprises us by the things he makes. One day, mother taught him the English words—WC. It stands for the“water closet”3. A few days later he took my hands and led me to the door of the bathroom. He pointed to the floor near the bathroom. I was delighted to find a word of WC made of toy bricks on the floor.
I like my little brother. He is only5 years old. He never grows tired of the things he likes most. He plays. In plays. In the play you see his intelligence. He plays. In the play you see his intelligence. He makes an operating table where you see a patient lying in bed, anda group of doctors operating on him. It is all the works of his toy bricks. He watches TV every day, so he makes a small TV. He is always building things with his toy bricks. He is not tired in breaking them apart and making another model soon. Like an inventor he is always making new things.
I am interested in him. He grows up everyday. I see that he is now making new things with his bricks. Today I see a space shuttle4 on the floor. He tells me that he made it according to5 one model he saw in the park . I see that the thing he made looks exactly like the one we once saw in the park.
What will the little boy be when he grows up? This is question I ask myself. He may be an artist or an architect6 to build a more wonderful world out of his mind, I will be happy to see the world he makes in the future.
