Abstract:This paper studies teachers' attitudes inconsistent in theory and practice to students poor in study in junior high schools.The purpose of this study is to arouse people's attention to this phenomenon and call on teachers to change their attitudes.

1.Introduction.

In reality,majority of teachers hold inconsistent attitudes in theory and practice toward students poor in study in reality.They show their disagreeable attitudes to students poor in study,which would lead to their lack of interest in learning.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to arouse people's attention to this phenomenon and call on teachers to change their attitudes.

2.Students poor in study

Owing to the different cultural environments and educations,there are numerous names for student poor in study,like backward students,learning disorder students,and underachievers and so on.Also,the definitions on the students with learning difficulty are diverse.Students with learning difficulty are those whose academic achievements are far behind the normal students' level,with the exception of disability,handicap and mental retardation.

3.Methodology

3.1Research questions

(1)What are the teachers' actual attitudes to students poor in study in junior high schools?

(2)What are the solutions to the problem?

3.2 Subjects

Subjects of this study were 469 students and 19 teachers in several junior high schools.

3.3 Instruments

Data for this study is collected through questionnaire survey,interview and reading literature.

3.4Process

At first,the present author designed the questionnaires and printed for 200 papers.Then,questionnaires were given out in some schools in Nan Chong.Next,the present author picked out the questionnaires of students poor in study,and collected data from them,then draw the results of the survey.Then,the present author surfed the internet and reviewed some researches to collect some tips in theory to treat students poor in study.At last,the present author analyzed the collected data and the results of interviews,and made a comparison between the research theories and survey results.Finally,the conclusion was got from the comparison.

4.Results and Discussion

When a detailed analysis was done to reveal the treatment of backward students in reality,the results show that over half of students disagree with all of the items.That is to say,they really feel terrible of their situations.Teachers' impatience,criticism,indifference as well as careless really make them upset and distrust.
