Review of Research on Tibetan Ancient Manuscripts and Documents from 1991 to 2014

Abstract：

This paper takes the CNKI，a fulltext database for Chinese journals ?as its source to retrieve data and papers on ?“Tibetan ancient manuscripts and documents”published in Chinese core journals from 1991 to 2014.After retrieving the data，we can see that the study of Tibetan ancient manuscripts and documents has made great achievements during this period.These studies have the following characteristics： firstly，research contents are comprehensive;secondly，research perspectives are diversified;thirdly，research fields are various;and fourthly，research forms are diverse.This article provides a detailed introduction to these studies on Tibetan ancient manuscripts and documents during this period based on their contents.While highlighting the essence of these achievements，we also attempt to provide a comprehensive historical reference for an indepth research of Tibetan ancient manuscripts and literature.
