



去年帶九年級畢業班,按慣例4月上旬我們就應該完成《英語考試復習導引》中的詞法、句法以及詞匯表I 中的1392個單詞和241個詞組的復習任務,卻發現學生的狀態已明顯很疲軟,每每聽寫或詞匯檢測后看到那么多的紅圈圈,真是讓人揪心。有什么有效的方法,確保學生在基礎題上少失分或避免失分呢?我通過對錯題本的整理和學情的分析,覺得學生要記要背的知識太多了,難免在詞匯方面混淆其讀音、拼法、詞義以及相關的用法和區別。面對這種狀況,我決定調整教學策略,于是對常見的“易混詞”進行了盤點和歸類,收到了一定的效果。
一、易混詞的盤點和歸類
1.學生易混淆的讀音
開始上課后先從天氣(weather)導入,之后出示賓語從句:I want to know it will rain tomorrow. 答案先給if,再讓學生用whether作答,板書weather和whether,指出它們發音相同但意義不同,稱為同音異義詞。板書:“同音不同義。”并適時地讓學生舉以f, h, i, o, p, s, t等字母開頭的同音詞的例子,學生發言踴躍積極,表現不錯。
表1接著給出“give, gave”,讓他們判斷是否也是同音詞,從而過渡到:We always feel confused about the pronunciations. 然后讓他們辨讀12組詞的發音,指出出錯率最高的應首推snake和snack。(見右表1)
2.學生易混淆的拼法和詞義
針對平時的聽寫和詞匯運用題型,出錯的單詞集中體現在表2中的12組詞。我通過嘗試用聽力訓練的方式(選擇你所聽到的單詞)加以強化和鞏固,之后辨別詞義以加深印象,起到一定的效果。
3.學生易混淆的同義詞或短語
先板書“花”,提問:“What’s the English for it?”學生勢必會回答:“Flower.”緊接著給出:“昨天我花了50元錢買花。”追問畫線的詞該如何表達。在問題的引領下,他們給出了spend, pay, cost等相關的動詞。針對先前的例句,我再拋出另一問題:Can we use “take” here?適時地復習了這些詞的用法和區別,之后鼓勵學生結合時態用不同的句式來表達。最后順理成章地總結: They have the same meaning, but they have different usages. 板書:“同義不同途。”從而與之前的板書“同音不同義”有了對應的設計。表3之后又列舉了“乘”(v. take; prep. by)和“回來”(v. return; adv. back) 的多種表達方式。更多的補充詞體現在表3中。
二、有效的復習反饋
1.反饋一:詞匯運用
通過對前面(表3)同義詞的口頭辨析,了解到學生對剛才復習過的知識點還只是停留在表層理解,而要學會運用才是我們復習的真正目的,于是我設計了一個小的過渡情節:You know yesterday I spent 50 yuan on the flowers and took a bus home. Do you want to know what happened to Kate yesterday? (想要了解Kate昨天發生了什么嗎?)請見自編的表4:詞匯運用。
表4從答題情況看來,有的學生犯的還是老毛病,有的是因為粗心所致,但我都依次耐著性子幫著點撥和分析,同時教會他們答題技巧和方法,還鼓勵他們用另外的句式或同義詞來改寫其中的3個句子:1.It can offer much information to readers. 2. It is full of people. 3. How worried the parents were! 對于常見的錯處,給他們信心,為他們打氣:These are very common mistakes. Don’t worry. 只要課后學會多歸納總結,應該可以避免的。
2.反饋二:串詞成文
依據平時所收集到的學生易多次寫錯的詞(如:第一;習慣;朋友;雖然;相信;衣服;學期;擔心;四十;邀請;貧窮的;假期;信息;改變;驕傲的),當堂要求學生根據15個詞的中文詞義以最快的速度拼寫出單詞,在校對好后,要求他們充分發揮自己的想象,選出至少8個單詞,串詞成文,注意時態和詞的適當表達形式。由于時間較緊,學生站起來進行口頭表達的效果尚可,課后的筆頭小練才真是一次不錯的嘗試呢。
學生范文展示:
(1)關于旅游的。
When I finish my study this term, I’m going to Paris for vacation. I will go there with my friends and I will also invite my cousin. First, we will go to the malls to buy some clothes. Then, we will visit forty places of interest. I believe we will enjoy ourselves.
(2)勵志的。
Xiaowei is my friend who comes from a poor village. She doesn’t have any new clothes to wear. So she worries about it. This summer vacation, she is going to find a parttime job. She believes that she can make enough money to buy a new coat. Although she is poor, she studies hard. She thinks working hard can change her life. We are all very proud of her.
(3)與時事相結合的。
Two weeks ago, Beijing Team became the winner of CBA for the first time. When I heard of the information, I was excited. The foreign aid(外援) of Beijing Team—Marbury(馬布里) said,“ Although our opponents(對手) are strong, we won the match at last. I’m very happy and I have changed a lot.”
I’m proud of him because he can get forty points every match. He is famous now and NBA invites him back to New York Knicks. But he said,“ I won’t go anywhere. I like Chinese culture, Chinese clothes and Chinese food. I also have many friends here.”
In a word, I think that CBA will get more and more interesting. And I believe that CBA will be more interesting than NBA one day. However, I also worry about the politeness of Chinese people because there were many impolite things happening in CBA this year.
三、復習課后的感想
學生平時的易錯、易混詞成了我這節復習課的素材,雖然一節課內無法涵蓋太多的知識點,但至少解決了詞匯復習中常見的難點,也使我的想法得到了實際的檢驗,符合了學生的需求,他們在課堂上得到了聽、說、讀和寫的訓練, 同時課后學生的范文也多了展示的平臺。我的兩個板書(“同音不同義”、“同義不同途”)的設計也得到了同行的極大肯定。看得出平時的用心積累確能促進教學效果改善,這節盤點易混詞的復習課具有一定的參考價值和效仿意義,也為我今后對復習策略的調整點亮了明燈,指引了方向。
