It is very moving because it is showing dif-

ferent people and their fields of interest， where they work and I think it could be inspirational in a way.

—A passer-by said to VOA. China unveiled a 60-second promotional video in New York’sTimes Square on Jan. 18， 2011. The video is called “Experience China” and it features basketball superstar Yao Ming， piano virtuoso Lang Lang and Chinese astronaut Yang Liwei along with ordinary Chinese people.

We have to see this as a wake-up call. I know skeptics will want to argue with the results， but we consider them to be accurate and reliable， and we have to see them as a challenge to get better.

—The U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan said. In Jan. 2011， students from Shanghai got the top scores in PISA， which had surprised experts. PISA is a set of standardized tests that evaluates literacy in three competence fields: reading， mathematics and science， and is taken by half a million 15-year-olds in 65 countries.

The House of 1，000 Mirrors

Long ago in a small， faraway village， there was a place known as the House of 1，000 Mirrors. A small， happy little dog learned ① this place and decided to visit it. When he arrived， he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house. He looked through the doorway with his ears ②

high and his tail ③ as fast as it could. To his great surprise， he found himself staring at 1，000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as ④.
