“ｕｓｅｄ ｔｏ”和“ｂｅ ｕｓｅｄ ｔｏ”之講與練

(一)used to

used to指“過去常常”，一般用過去時態。在used to結構中，to為不定式符號，后面跟動詞原形。

如：(1)We used to play tennis twice a week．我們過去曾經一周打兩次網球。

(2)She used to be a teacher． 她過去曾是個老師。

否定式：usedn’t / usen’t to do或used not to do，或didn’t use to do．如：

She usedn’t （used not） to like Tom.

=She didn’t use to like Tom.

疑問式：Used+主語+to do…?或Did+主語+use to do…?如：

Used he to smoke a lot？

=Did he use to smoke a lot？

如：(1)He didn’t use to drink.他以前不常喝酒。

(2)Did you use to be an ORBIS doctor?你以前曾是一名奧比斯*醫生嗎?

(二)be used to

be used to指“習慣于”，“慣于”，be動詞可以根據實際情況采用多種適當的時態。在be used to結構中，to為介詞，后面接名詞、代詞或動名詞。

如：(1)I am used to taking the bus to school.我習慣于乘公共汽車上學。

(2)They are used to the hot weather．他們習慣炎熱的天氣。

(3)She is used to drinking tea.她習慣喝茶。

1．與sth. be used to do sth.的區別。后者的意思是“某物被用來干什么”。如：

A knife is used to cut things.

=A knife is used for cutting things.

譯一譯：

衣服是用來保暖的。Clothes are used to keep warm．

=Clothes are used for keeping warm.

2．be used to也可以說成get used to．如：

They were used to driving on the left in London．

=They got used to driving on the left in London.

譯一譯：

(1)他不習慣吃蔬菜。 He isn’t used to eating vegetables.

(2)你已習慣做早操了嗎？

Have you been used to doing morning exercises?

或：Have you got used to doing morning exercises?
