The museums in Macau give the very essence of its citizens and rich culture. If you are looking for something deeper and more meaningful， head to the museums. Explore the cultural， artistic， scientific， or historical side of Macau with these museums.

Macau Museum

If you want to know all about this magical place， all you have to do is to visit Macau Museum. It is the biggest museum in Macau and located in the famous Mount Fortress（大炮臺）， this is a historical and cultural museum showcasing exhibits over three floors.

Macau Museum of Art

This is the largest cultural relic museum and also the only art museum in Macau and it has five floors of galleries dedicated to Ming and Qing dynasty calligraphy from Guangdong， ceramic statues from Shiwan （Guangdong）， seal carvings and artist collections from Macau and around the world. There are also many 19th-century western historical paintings from all over Asia and temporary （臨時的）exhibitions. There is a library， free Internet services and a workshop for various art courses. It is located on Xian Xinghai Avenue in the southeast part of the Macau Peninsula.

It is free and open every day except Mondays， from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Macau Science Museum

It’s a modern， space age building not far from Fisherman’s Wharf， with permanent galleries covering topics such as Science for Children， Technology， Environment and Lifestyle. It’s a “hands-on”（動手操作的） space in which you are encouraged to explore science in a physical way. This makes it more fun if you have kids. There is also a Planetarium（天文館）equipped with some ultra high density 3D projectors（放映機）where you can watch astronomical dome movies！

It is open every day except Thursdays， from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Travelling to Beijing and Sydney

Travelling makes us become more interested in the world. It is also a good way to study. I still remember two trips. One is to Beijing and the other is to Sydney.

On arriving in Beijing， we paid a visit to the Palace Museum. The exhibitions were more attractive than I expected. The following day， we made our way to the National Stadium which deeply impressed me with the unique shape of a bird nest. We tried some Beijing Roast Duck on the last day because a trip to Beijing wasn’t complete without a taste of it.

I am satisfied with the trip because I experienced the local culture and it broadened my horizon.

Another time， I went to Sydney. It took us 10 hours to get there by air. On the first day， we toured around the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Although we were tired， we were attracted by its wonderful views. The next day， we watched a musical at the Sydney Opera House and it was really amazing. We ate some Australian local cuisine on the last day. I felt excited and happy during the trip because I learned a lot and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

These trips help me know more about the world. They are the memorable trips of a lifetime.

I am quite satisfied with the trip because I have experienced the local culture and it broadens my horizon. I am also very lucky to have an opportunity to visit and learn in Australia.

Australia is a beautiful country， rich in natural resources and cultural heritage. On the first day， we visited the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I was deeply impressed by its beauty. The following day， we watched a musical at the Sydney Opera House and it was really amazing. We tried some Australian local cuisine on the last day because a trip to Australia wasn’t complete without a taste of vegemite. In short， I had a wonderful time in Australia and learned a lot about the culture， history and natural beauty of this country. I would like to go to Australia again and explore more of its charm.

These trips help me know more about the world. They are memorable in my life.
