The Red Cross is an international organization whose mission is to stop suffering. They don’t care about the people’s race， nationality， religion or political beliefs. They help anyone who needs assistance.

The story of the Red Cross begins with Henry Dunant， a Swiss businessman who saw a terrible battle in 1859 in Italy. After the battle， 40，000 soldiers were dead or injured， but there was no one to take care of them. Dunant worked for three days helping them.

When he returned to Switzerland， he wrote a book about his experience. The leaders of many countries read his book and wanted to do something. As a result， the Red Cross was established in Geneva， Switzerland in 1863. It was an organization that would help people affected by war.

In 1884， there was another Red Cross meeting in Geneva. An American woman named Clara Barton wanted the Red Cross to help people in peacetime as well as in wartime. She wanted the Red Cross to get involved in disaster relief. Since then， the Red Cross has helped millions of victims of earthquakes and other disasters all around the world.

The Red Cross not only works worldwide at big disasters， but also works in the community， helping victims of small accidents or fires. The Red Cross is clearly fulfilling its mission to stop suffering in this world.

With the goal of easing the burden of hunger and poverty in some of the poorest communities all over the world， Family for the Family program links families with “more” to families with profoundly less. Giving opportunities includes offering a family monthly food and other things， providing a book-hungry child with a book each month， making birthday boxes and many more.

What more can we do to manage Family for the Family program？

The main task for today is to make a worldwide research about this issue and come up with analytic information and suggestions for all the humans living in different social conditions. Our team is already working hard with the research and cooperates with specialists in this area from biggest developed and poorest countries. With your support and cooperation with activists， we will work to find the best ways how to find a solution and make a unified system to make a bridge between donor and poor families.

The needs of families are very wide. Legal protection， migration issues， the consequences of unemployment， access to medical services-these are just some of the most widespread areas. Your support for the program will be a great opportunity for one of the families in trouble.

Our main goal in long term is to work of innovative programs that will act as a safety net for those who struggle daily to provide basic food for themselves and their families. You can help families living below the poverty line in communities with high levels of unemployment， without high school degrees， and low incomes.

Giving a helping hand

As the saying goes，“Give a rose，keep a scent.” In my opinion， if we help other people in need， we can harvest a sense of achievement. However， even if our quality of material life is boosted， some people are still poor in life.

But have you ever thought about how we can help them？ Children， in poor areas， often face the problems of shortages of good materials.

To help them， we can organize fundraisers to collect clothes and other materials. Such donations can improve their living conditions and give them more resources to live on. However， it has been found that money alone cannot essentially solve the poverty and they are still poor. Money can only relieve the poor families of their present problems but cannot solve their poverty permanently. Once the money is used up， they will return to poverty.

As far as I’m concerned， I think the best way to help them is to improve their education. Education is the key to changing the future of children in poor areas. To help them get a better education， we can provide more educational support and organize more volunteer teachers. So they can have more chance to learn. In this way， we can solve this problem properly.

In a word， I will try my best to help people who is still very poor. And everyone should give a helping hand to them. In this way， our life will become more and more beautiful！

Giving a helping hand

As the saying goes， “Give a rose，keep a scent.” As far as I am concerned， I always help my parents and neighbors in need. However， even if our quality of material life is boosted， we should pay more attention to people who are still poor in life.

Nowadays， people in poor areas often face the problems of shortages of good materials. In order to help them， we could collect clothes and other materials and sometimes donate money to them directly. However， offering money and needs cannot essentially solve their poverty.

For adults， they need more opportunities to make a living. The local government can build some factories and offer some job opportunities to them. With the advancement of technology， they can be more integrated into network life. So they are able to sell goods online. We can take the lead in teaching them how to operate on the Internet.

For children， I think the best way to help them is to improve their education. Firstly， the local government should build schools for children and train more volunteer teachers. Moreover， we can call on those who go to large cities to return and build their hometowns. Also， we can support the organizations to improve the facilities and provide a better learning environment.

However， as the saying goes， “Dripping water wears away a stone.” And everyone should give a helping hand to them. Only by this way can we create a beautiful harmonious society！
