布拉德伯里工作坊綜合體建筑位于達(dá)爾斯頓吉勒特廣場(chǎng)，現(xiàn)已重新向新老租戶開(kāi)放。新大樓涵蓋600平方米經(jīng)濟(jì)適用工作空間的翻新、10個(gè)迷你零售單元的更換，以及在兩層擴(kuò)建部分中打造近500平方米的額外工作區(qū)域。布拉德伯里工作坊綜合體是該地區(qū)以社區(qū)為中心、最獨(dú)特的公共空間，代表了該建筑類型發(fā)展歷程的未來(lái)。

該方案旨在保留原有建筑（包括其租戶）的最佳狀態(tài)，同時(shí)提供額外的靈活空間，以適應(yīng)各種業(yè)務(wù)的需求。新的10平方米底層零售商鋪面向廣場(chǎng)，設(shè)有可完全打開(kāi)的玻璃門，由異形金屬門進(jìn)一步保護(hù)開(kāi)關(guān)安全和隱私，對(duì)外開(kāi)放時(shí)可以通過(guò)鮮明的招牌改變單個(gè)空間。

原有維多利亞式露臺(tái)的磚石結(jié)構(gòu)被保留、修復(fù)和翻新，成為10——36平方米的中小型工作單元，同時(shí)，面向布拉德伯里街的現(xiàn)有商店、酒吧和餐館也得以保留。一個(gè)雙層高的外部露臺(tái)空間（有遮篷）為上層單元提供通道。野餐桌、常綠蕨類植物和藤蔓植物一年四季鼓勵(lì)租戶在此相聚，增加與廣場(chǎng)的互動(dòng)。在三樓，新的工作空間設(shè)有私人夾層，可通過(guò)朝南的戶外平臺(tái)進(jìn)入。

通過(guò)提供新的全玻璃入口，進(jìn)入新大樓的原有入口得以保留和改善。[Y/N]工作室設(shè)計(jì)了新的品牌和標(biāo)識(shí)?，F(xiàn)有的樓梯間和入口根據(jù)“CMYK”印刷顏色范圍以青色、品紅、黃色和黑色重新粉刷，這四種顏色可通過(guò)簡(jiǎn)單且對(duì)比鮮明的組合來(lái)創(chuàng)作任何藝術(shù)品。

這反映了該建筑的追求，即成為一個(gè)文化和學(xué)科大熔爐，實(shí)現(xiàn)一加一大于二的目標(biāo)。在建筑的其他區(qū)域，柔和的灰色地板與白色墻壁的簡(jiǎn)單色調(diào)為用戶自定義提供空間，以滿足他們的個(gè)性要求。

最后，建筑被均勻的聚碳酸酯立面包覆，通過(guò)異形銑削鋁底座和屋頂完成。輕質(zhì)反光的表面創(chuàng)造出一種奇異外觀，然而，靠近觀察半透明特性的材料，發(fā)現(xiàn)白色磚立面和露臺(tái)從外面仍然可見(jiàn)。

后方立面允許充足的光線進(jìn)入工作空間和辦公室隔間。在白天，覆層可反射天空和外部環(huán)境的顏色變化，在夜間則會(huì)發(fā)光，呈現(xiàn)內(nèi)部活動(dòng)。

Bradbury Works in Gillett Square， Dalston， has now re-opened its doors to new and returning tenants. The new building includes the refurbishment of 600m2 of existing affordable workspace， the replacement of ten mini retail units， and the provision of almost 500m2 of extra workspace in a two-story extension. Bradbury Works is the next step in the evolving story of one of the most unique and community-focused public spaces in the capital.

The scheme looks to retain the best attributes of the existing building including its tenants while providing additional flexible spaces to suit a variety of businesses. Facing into the square， new 10m2 retail pods are provided with fully openable glazed frontages which are further protected by profiled metal gates for security and privacy when closed but can transform the individual spaces with vibrant signage when open.

The original masonry structure of the existing Victorian terrace has been retained， refurbished， and renovated， providing small and medium 10-36m2 workspace units while preserving the existing shops， bars， and restaurants facing onto Bradbury Street. A covered double-height external terrace space provides access to the upper units. Picnic tables， evergreen ferns， and climbing plants intend to encourage tenants to come together in all seasons and increase interaction with the square. On the third floor， new workspaces with private mezzanine levels in the pitch are accessed by a south-facing external deck.

Access to the new building is via the existing entrance which has been retained and improved by providing a new fully glazed entrance. New branding and wayfinding signage was designed by [Y/N] Studio. The existing stairwell and entrance have been repainted with the colors Cyan， Magenta， Yellow， and Key （black） referring to the ‘CMYK printing color range where four simple and contrasting colors combined can be used to create any artwork.

This mirrors the ambition for the building to become a melting pot of cultures and disciplines that are greater than the sum of their parts. In all other areas of the building， a simple color palette of muted grey flooring and white-painted walls allows tenants the agency to customize their space to suit their requirements and personalities.

Finally， the building is wrapped in a homogenous polycarbonate fa?ade and completed with a profiled mill-finished aluminum base and roof. The lightweight and reflective skin creates the appearance of a singular form， however， on closer inspection the translucent character of the material allows the white-painted brick fa?ade and the terrace to remain visible from the outside.

Behind， the fa?ade allows for plenty of light to enter the workspaces and breakout spaces. During the daytime， the cladding reflects the changing colors of the sky and external environment while glowing at night to reveal internal activities.
