Comment on: Trends in research related to high myopia from 2010 to 2019: a bibliometric and knowledge mapping analysis

Zhangrecently published a bibliometric paper entitled “Trends in research related to high myopia from 2010 to 2019: A bibliometric and knowledge mapping analysis”. The authors mentioned in section Data Source and Research Strategy that “we retrieved WoSCC (https://webofknowledge.com/) in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) database online as data source”.

有關(guān)于不同指標(biāo)輔助診斷早期腎病的研究并不少見(jiàn)，從傳統(tǒng)的腎功能、比值到結(jié)構(gòu)損傷標(biāo)志物，學(xué)術(shù)界一直都致力于尋找具有特異性的標(biāo)志物。但是腎臟結(jié)構(gòu)、功能非常復(fù)雜，蛋白排泄本身機(jī)制也非常復(fù)雜，糖尿病患者早期腎損害發(fā)生的涉及的血管段并不完全清楚，同時(shí)存在個(gè)體差異，這可能會(huì)影響特異性的指標(biāo)診斷價(jià)值，聯(lián)合多種的特異性標(biāo)志物進(jìn)行診斷是大勢(shì)所趨[3]。

It is not appropriate to use the database directly without bibliometric treatment. It is impossible to know number of publications in 2019 in the Web of Science Core Collection on 01 January 2020. The authors mentioned search keywords:“high myopia” and “pathological myopia”. In fact, the authors used high myopia or pathological myopia that means high and myopia or pathological and myopia. These search keywords are inappropriate for “Trends in research related to high myopia”.

6) Book Citation Index–Science (BKCI-S)--2005-present;

第一，低估了學(xué)生的數(shù)學(xué)認(rèn)知水平，這在兩個(gè)課題數(shù)學(xué)任務(wù)的布置與實(shí)施中都有較為明顯的體現(xiàn).這不僅表現(xiàn)在張老師在布置數(shù)學(xué)任務(wù)時(shí)，低認(rèn)知水平的任務(wù)多于高認(rèn)知水平的任務(wù)，而且表現(xiàn)在，高認(rèn)知水平的任務(wù)在教學(xué)的展開(kāi)過(guò)程中無(wú)一例外地降為低認(rèn)知水平的任務(wù).此外，還表現(xiàn)在對(duì)低認(rèn)知水平的任務(wù)，他也采取一些措施進(jìn)一步降低任務(wù)的認(rèn)知要求.如，張老師在第一個(gè)課題的第一、二次教學(xué)中布置的7個(gè)數(shù)學(xué)任務(wù)有6個(gè)屬于低認(rèn)知要求水平的，第二個(gè)課題的第一、二次教學(xué)中布置的7個(gè)數(shù)學(xué)任務(wù)有4個(gè)屬于低認(rèn)知要求水平的.

Web of Science Core Collection is designed mainly for researchers to find published literature, but not for bibliometric studies. It is unsuitable to use all these different types and levels of databases. For example, ESCI complements the highly selective indexes by providing earlier visibility for sources under evaluation as part of the rigorous journal selection process of SCI-EXPANDED, SSCI, and A&HCI.In addition, no high myopia English articles can be found in A&HCI, CPCI-SSH, BKCI-SSH, CCR-EXPANDED, and IC.In the same section, the authors noticed that “Data were collected on January 1, 2020. “High myopia” and “Pathological myopia” were retrieved as the topic terms, the time span was“from 2010 to 2019”, the document type was restricted to“article”, and the language was limited to “English only.” In the section Annual Distribution of Publications, the authors presented that “By WoSCC based analysis, 3544 documents on HM from 2010 to 2019 has been collected”.
