Analysis on the effects of Zhixuebuxue Decoction on routine blood indices and complications in elderly patients with occult blood loss after the surgery of intertrochanteric fracture

[Abstract] Objective To study and explore the effect of Zhixuebuxue Decoction on routine blood indices and complications in elderly patients with occult blood loss after the surgery of intertrochanteric fracture，so as to lay a theoretical foundation for subsequent clinical treatment. Methods A total of 68 elderly patients with occult blood loss after the surgery of intertrochanteric fractures were selected in our hospital from November 2018 to October 2019.34 patients in the control group were given conventional treatment after surgery.34 patients in the study group were given hemostatic and nourishing prescriptions on the basis of the control group.The occult bleeding volume，postoperative hemoglobin and platelet count，hip joint score，and complication rate were compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results The amounts of occult bleeding in both groups of patients 1 day after surgery，3 days after surgery，5 days after surgery，and 14 days after surgery were significantly lower than those in the control group;the hemoglobin and platelet counts in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group after surgery;the Harris hip score in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group （P<0.05），and the difference was statistically significant;the postoperative complication rate in the study group was 2.94%，which was significantly lower than that of 17.64% in the control group （P<0.05），and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion The application of Zhixuebuxue decoction for patients with occult blood loss after the surgery of intertrochanteric fracture，combined with scientific and effective nursing care，can effectively reduce the impact of bleeding and reduce the incidence rate of adverse complications，which can be widely popularized and used in clinical practice.
