【Abstract】Ancient literature education is an important part of Chinese literature education as well as the history of Chinese education. The Chinese culture is broad and profound, with a long history and five thousand years of splendid characters. With the continuous development of modern society, we need to carry forward the cultural education of the Chinese nation, and take the experience of the ancients as the direction of the development of contemporary culture, so that the traditional culture of the new era can be revitalized and the new culture can also carry the glory of history. In ancient China, the concept of “l(fā)iterature” was very broad. Literature is closely related to philosophy, politics, thought, history and other cultures. This sentence fully proves the emotional education function of literature education. Ancient literary works reflect life in a variety of vivid literary forms and perspectives. They not only expose and condemn the ugly things in social reality, but also praise the things through literary works, so as to enhance the audiences literary experience. When readers read these works, the thoughts of the works can infiltrate into the thoughts of the audience silently, forming a resonance with the inner qualities of the audience.

The educational function of psychology is healthy. Health psychology plays a very important role in peoples social activities and abilities. Want to improve personality, stabilize mood, give full play to intelligence, healthy psychology is premise. Only a healthy mind can realize the value and goal of life and make contributions to the society. Therefore, educators can make use of ancient literature to conduct psychological education and guidance for learners, so that learners can feel the educational function of literary works mental health and promote the development of learners mental health.

In ancient literary works, ancient poets always like to express their positive and optimistic psychology and express their compassion and kindness in implicit ways.
