【教學目標】
知識目標:①復(fù)習本單元的主要句型;②學生能讀懂“Read and write”的閱讀任務(wù),并完成寫作任務(wù)。
能力目標:學生能用正確的格式書寫電子郵件。
情感目標:培養(yǎng)學生熱愛生活,樂于助人的情感。

【教學過程】
Step 1:Warm up
(1)Greetings.
(2)Review the personality adjectives.
T:Whats your English teacher /friend like?
【設(shè)計意圖】通過對話有效地復(fù)習了描述人性格特征的詞匯,為之后的寫作進行鋪墊。
(3)T:Today were going to learn Unit 4 “What can you do?”B Read and write. Id like to divide you into two groups. Red group and Blue group.Lets have a competition. Ready? Come on.
【設(shè)計意圖】通過分組競賽調(diào)動學生的學習積極性,激發(fā)學生的學習興趣。
Step 2:Presentation
1.TV show
T:Next well have a TV show.
(1)PPT 1。T:What can he do? S1:He can sing English songs.
(2)PPT 2。T:What can he do? S2:He can dance.
(3)PPT 3。 T:This is kung fu Panda.Hes so cool. What can he do? S3:He can do kung fu.
【設(shè)計意圖】PPT通過情境和直觀圖片、聲音等復(fù)習本單元的重點句型和詞匯,增加了趣味性,達到學中樂、樂中學的教學目的。
2.Guessing game: What can I do?
PPT shows my picture.
T:This is me.What can I do? Can you guess? Ill show you some pictures. You can say: You can.../You cant...
【設(shè)計意圖】通過讓學生猜測我會做什么,喚起學生的求知欲,發(fā)散學生的思維。
3. Group work
(1)T:I can do many things. What can you do? PPT shows some abilities.
(2)T guides Ss to do group work.
【設(shè)計意圖】通過創(chuàng)設(shè)情境,讓學生在小組中描述自己會做的事,并加上動作進行表演,身臨其境地運用句型。
4.Read and write
(1)PPT shows Robin.
T:Do you know him? What can Robin do? What cant Robin do? Please guess.
【設(shè)計意圖】閱讀前讓學生發(fā)揮想象,猜測Robin會做什么,不會做什么,激發(fā)學生的好奇心,為引入閱讀文本起到穿針引線的作用。
(2)Read and circle讀一讀,圈一圈。
T:Rodin write an e-mail to us. Do you know e-mail? T:Robin is sad.Why? What does Robin want? Listen and answer.
(3)Skim and circle 快速瀏覽,圈關(guān)鍵。
T:What is Robin like? Ss :Hes...
(4)Read, underline and answer 細讀,尋答案。
What can Robin do? What cant Robin do? Then check the answer and write it on the board:Robin can ... Robin cant ...
(5)Tick or cross. T reads the sentence. Ss finish them and say out true or false quickly.
(6)Ss listen,point and imitate. Then read them in their group. At last, T asks a student to wear the headwear of Robin and retell the e-mail.
【設(shè)計意圖】通過挖掘文本,讓學生思考Robin為什么不開心。并提供一些閱讀策略,循序漸進,指導學生自主尋找答案。
5.Lets write
T:Robin can do so many things. What can you do? Do you want to be a friend of Robin? Maybe you want, maybe you dont want. You can write to him.Introduce the form of e-mail.
【設(shè)計意圖】讓學生自主選擇是否愿意成為Robin的朋友,并給Robin回一封電子郵件,創(chuàng)設(shè)真實的情境,讓學生通過老師的講解,能學以致用。
Step 3:Extension
Task:To be a volunteer, write a email to Lisa.
(1)PPT shows the picture of Ss and says that they can clean the room for the old people. They are very helpful.
(2)PPT shows the people who need help. T:they need our help.
(3)Affect education.
【設(shè)計意圖】通過展示孩子們在敬老院參加活動,幫助老人的圖片,呼吁孩子們根據(jù)自己的能力,自我推薦給敬老院負責人Lisa發(fā)郵件,加入志愿者隊伍,培養(yǎng)孩子們樂于助人的精神。
