BOUNCING WITH JOY

This year, Chopard is revisiting the iconic model which they fi rst introduced 40 years ago. Chopard designer Ronald Kurowski “set diamonds free”from their settings, so as to imitate the way waterfall droplets splash under sunlight. Paying tribute to the original shape, but this time designed for ladies, today's Happy Diamonds watch is a precious jewelled timepiece exuding a vintage charm mixed with a contemporary feel. The prong-set diamonds circling the dial emphasise its gentle curves, while moving diamonds whirl freely across a textured white mother-of-pearl background.

Breitling Chronoworks? department, the exceptional engine experts of watch industry focused on devoting themselves to review the Manufacture Breitling Caliber 01 and developed fi ve technical advancements serving to increase its power reserve from 70 to 100 hours. This progress provides greater convenience for the user, who can leave his watch off the wrist for four days without rewinding it. Furthermore, the precision of the watch is now improved. The higher the power reserve, the less the force of the spring dwindles during the fi rst 24 hours, thereby guaranteeing enhanced regularity of the movement rate. The fruit of its efforts is showcased in Breitling Superocean Héritage Chronoworks? limited series.

LOVE, ALWAYS

To celebrate its 160th anniversary, Ernest Borel,“Model of Swiss Couple Watches”, has launched a series of Jules Borel Automatic Collection watches, with only 888 pieces in the world.

The layers of curved lines are elegant as a blooming camellia, each petal portraying the splendid journey of life. The words “160th ANNIVERSARY” on 6H position, alligator leather straps, 12 inlaid square natural diamonds and a rose gold case give the Collection a dazzling but soft sheen. To witness and mark the family's achievements, the brand gives a special meaning to this Collection by creating an etched pattern of Swiss Ernest Borel Factory on see-through back and issuing each watch a unique code on the case and an exclusive limited edition certif i cate.

At Baselworld 2016, Omega unveiled an updated version of its all-purpose Globemaster annual calendar watch. This new model is now 41mm instead of 39 mm. Its polished hour and minute hands are blued and facetted, and they are coated with Super-Luminova, along with the blued indexes. In changing light, the overall effect of the dial is truly captivating.The other touches of blue include the polished central seconds hand, OMEGA logo, Constellation star and writing on the dial.

With its luscious brown colour, this Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer is at the forefront of craftsmanship and style. This watch is among the fi rst ladies' timepieces ever to be certif i ed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).

To see the innovative movement itself, wearers can admire the new calibre 8801 through the sapphire crystal caseback, complete with an oscillating weight crafted from 18K Sedna? gold.

GENTLY WHISPERING TIME

Limited to just 500 individually marked pieces, the True Open Heart is crafted in either matt black or polished white high-tech ceramic and features the clean, light lines of the Rado True family. An ultra-f i ne mother of pearl layer fl oats over the dial like a veil, subtly exposing the mysterious inner workings of the watch below.

The watch adopts high-tech ceramic as its main material,25% lighter than steel by volume, it is amongst the lightest materials used in luxury watchmaking. Meanwhile, it adapts to the wearer's body temperature almost immediately, and is surprisingly hard and durable. It is nearly fi ve times harder than steel while being only a fraction of the weight.

RADO Centrix Open Heart collection merit a closer look. The striking 33 mm dial is enclosed in a gold-coloured case and studded with 12 Top Wesselton diamonds.

The unique shape of the dial was inspired by imagery of the romantic legend behind Chinese Valentine's Day: The stylized keyhole is the ref l ection of the perfect love , and the upside-down crescent is the bridge of magpies upon which they stand.
