APRIL 8TH FESTIVAL“四月八”苗族英雄節(jié)

April 8th in the lunar calendar is also known as Day of the Hero, for the ethnic minority Miao, a day for commemorating their hero “Yanu.” On April 8th, Miao people will dress up in their traditional clothes and celebrate the day by performing lusheng (a reed-pipe wind instrument) and folk songs, dancing with hua-dai, and jumping through fi re. The celebration for April 8th in Guiyang is the largest and most ceremonious in the country and has become a carnival for all ethic minorities in the city.

四月八被稱為苗族的祭祖節(jié)、英雄節(jié)，是紀(jì)念苗族英雄亞努的日子。每年這一天，苗族同胞會穿上傳統(tǒng)盛裝，聚集進(jìn)行吹蘆笙、對山歌、舞花帶、比武、鉆火等等活動，歡度自己的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日。貴陽市苗族的“四月八”慶祝活動規(guī)模最為宏大、場面最為隆重，已成為貴陽及其附近其他民族共同狂歡的節(jié)日。

2016 CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2016年戛納電影節(jié)

The festival will be opened with Woody Allen’s new fi lm Café Society. George Miller will chair this year's competition jury. European and American fi lms make up all 20 entries into the competition. Oscar winner, Marion Cotillard, is widely considered the favourite for the Best Actress.

今年的戛納電影節(jié)開幕電影是伍迪·艾倫新作《咖啡公社》，競賽單元評委會主席由喬治·米勒擔(dān)任。在入圍主競賽單元的20部電影，歐美影片成為絕對主力軍，華語片零入圍。其中，奧斯卡影后瑪麗昂·歌迪亞是本屆最佳女主角大熱人選。

安吉觀竹海

As the largest bamboo forest in China, the “sea of bamboo” in Anji has attracted the film crew of Oscar winning film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Visiting the bamboo forest in May will make you feel like you are entering into an imaginary world.

2. SEA OF CLOUDS, NIUBEISHAN (MOUNTAIN), SICHUAN

In May, Niubeishan will witness azaleas bloom as red as a flame, accompanied by grasslands, steep hills, and splendid waterfalls. Standing on top of the mountain, one can see the seas of clouds and waterfalls, almost as though it were all a dream.

3. WEIZHOU ISLAND, BEIHAI, GUANGXI

北海潿洲島

Weizhou island is the largest island in Guangxi, as well as the the youngest volcano in China. Surrounded by azure sea, lucid and transparent, people can watch sea animals like corals and enjoy abundant marine products. It is a real island paradise.
