巧用構(gòu)詞法

詞匯的記憶對(duì)于大多數(shù)同學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō)是件難事。做題時(shí)遇到不熟悉的單詞時(shí)，有效猜測(cè)詞義顯得尤為重要。詞義的猜測(cè)主要從兩方面入手，一是根據(jù)構(gòu)詞法，二是聯(lián)系上下文來(lái)猜詞。

只有了解英語(yǔ)詞匯的一些常見(jiàn)的構(gòu)成方法，即構(gòu)詞法，才可以對(duì)詞義進(jìn)行有效的猜測(cè)。構(gòu)詞法知識(shí)不僅有助于詞義猜測(cè)，還可以大大擴(kuò)展同學(xué)們的詞匯量。構(gòu)詞法基本分以下幾種：

一、派生

派生主要是指在基礎(chǔ)詞的前后分別加上前綴或后綴，使其構(gòu)成新詞。高中常見(jiàn)的前后綴有以下形式：

1. 表示空間位置，方向或時(shí)間關(guān)系的前綴

①inter-，表示“在……間，相互”。

如international， interaction， internet等。

這一項(xiàng)目是中國(guó)第一個(gè)跨省區(qū)、跨行業(yè)、綜合性的扶貧開(kāi)發(fā)項(xiàng)目，也是迄今為止利用外資規(guī)模最大的扶貧項(xiàng)目。

②over-，表示“超過(guò)，過(guò)度，太”。

如overeat， overdress， oversleep等。

▲They are called“over-the-counter”.

我們稱非處方藥為over-the-counter。

③super-，表示“超過(guò)”。

如superman， superpower， supermarket等。

▲When Superman wakes up in the morning， hes Superman.

超人早晨醒來(lái)，他就是超人。

④post-，表示“在……后，后”。

如postwar， post-reading， postmillenial（千年后的），postgraduate（畢業(yè)后的）等。

⑤pre-，表示“在……前，事先，預(yù)先”。

如preview， prehistory，prehistoric（史前的），premedical（醫(yī)學(xué)院預(yù)科的），prepaid（預(yù)先支付的）等。

服務(wù)范圍包括生育指導(dǎo)、婚前檢查、孕前體檢、更年期服務(wù)和青少年輔導(dǎo)等。

⑥under-，表示“在……下面，下的”。

如underline， underground， underwater等。

▲Give the child her， der-， -ing and un- and he can build or recognize under， then understand， and finally understanding.

教給孩子her，der-，-ing和un-，他就會(huì)合成或認(rèn)識(shí)under，接下來(lái)是understand，最后是understanding。

⑦up-，表示“向上，向上面，在上”。

如upward， uphold， uphill（上坡）等。

▲I cannot uphold such conduct.

我不能贊成這種行為。

2. 表示否定前綴

①dis-

如dislike，disbelieve，disagree，dishonest等。

▲Do you believe in nuclear dis-armament？

你認(rèn)為真能裁減核軍備嗎？

②in-（ig-， il-， im-， ir-）

如incapable， incurable， impossible， illegal等。

▲Her grey eyes were small but full of light and incapable of stupidity.

她的眼睛是灰色的，比較小，然而炯炯發(fā)亮，這種眼睛是不可能遲鈍的。

③un-

如under，understand，understanding，unload， uncover， unbelievable， un-british（不忠于英國(guó)的）等。

▲He wondered if the police investigation would uncover the offending car and driver.

他不知道警察能不能查獲這輛犯法的汽車及駕車人。
