“歐美戶型”知多少？

“Apartment”是北美地區(qū)用詞，指代可供出租的公寓式套間，但在英國(guó)多指可供出租公寓的一個(gè)房間。“Flat”多用在英式英語(yǔ)當(dāng)中，指代一幢公寓大樓內(nèi)某一層上可供租住的“一套房間”，即公寓的單元住房。“Apartment”與“Flat”都表達(dá)了一種意思：公寓樓里面的住戶一般都是租客，而公寓樓的所有者才真正擁有這些公寓。

“Condominium（亦可簡(jiǎn)稱為‘Condo’）”意為共管公寓，通常是外觀上與“Apartment”相似的公寓，只不過整棟樓沒有共同的所有者，每個(gè)“Condo”都有著各自的所有者，因此又被稱為“分契式公寓”。所以兩者之間最根本的差異是“Condo”是由個(gè)人所有的，而“Apartment”是向公寓大樓租住的。

再一次，每當(dāng)家人埋怨父親沒有花足夠的時(shí)間和他們待在一起時(shí)，他會(huì)解釋說自己所做的一切都是為了家人。但是他也時(shí)常渴望花更多的時(shí)間和家人待在一起。

不出所料，父親的努力工作再次得到了回報(bào)，而且他買了一套漂亮的公寓，在公寓里可以俯瞰新加坡的海岸。到新家后的第一個(gè)周日晚上，父親向家人宣布他決定再也不參加任何課程或追求任何晉升了。……
