安居樂業

一個賺錢供養一家老小的父親，將自己的一切時間都花在了進修、升職、再進修的無限循環之中。最終，他如愿以償地看著家人過上了更為優質的生活。但是，當這位父親決定放下重擔停下來歇歇腳的時候，他再也沒能見到隔天的太陽。哪一種用生命換來的財富比得上活著與自己的親人十指緊扣？或許，有一種不幸，叫財富……

Father was a hardworking man who delivered bread as a living to support his wife and three children. He spent all his evenings after work attending classes， hoping to improve himself so that he could one day find a better paying job. Except for Sundays， Father hardly ate a meal together with his family. He worked and studied very hard because he wanted to provide his family with the best money could buy.

Whenever the family complained that he was not spending enough time with them， he reasoned that he was doing all this for them. But he often 1）yearned to spend more time with his family.

The day came when the examination results were announced. To his joy， Father passed， and 2）with distinctions too！ Soon after， he was offered a good job as a senior 3）supervisor which paid handsomely. Like a dream come true， Father could now afford to provide his family with life’s little luxuries like nice clothing， fine food and vacation abroad.

However， the family still did not get to see father for most of the week. He continued to work very hard， hoping to be promoted to the position of manager. In fact， to make himself a worthy candidate for the promotion， he enrolled for another course in the open university.

Again， whenever the family complained that he was not spending enough time with them， he reasoned that he was doing all this for them. But he often yearned to spend more time with his family.

父親是一個不辭辛勞的人，他靠送面包來賺錢養活妻子和三個孩子。下班后的每個晚上他都去上課，希望能夠提升自己，以便日后能夠尋得一份薪酬更高的工作。除了周日以外，父親幾乎不怎么和家人一起吃飯。他工作和學習都非常刻苦，因為他想要讓自己的家人過上最富裕、最好的生活。

每當家人埋怨父親沒有花足夠的時間和他們待在一起時，他會解釋說自己所做的一切都是為了家人。但是他也時常渴望花更多的時間和家人待在一起。

公布考試成績的那一天到了。父親欣喜地發現自己通過了，而且還是以優異的成績通過了！不久之后，父親得到了一份高級主管的好工作，報酬頗豐。猶如美夢成真一般，父親現在已經能為家人提供生活中的小奢侈了，比如漂亮衣服、精致的食物以及到國外度假。

不過，每周的大部分時間，家人還是見不到父親。他還是很努力地工作，希望能夠晉升到經理的位置。事實上，父親為了讓自己成為晉升的得力人選，他在公開大學報了另一門課程。
