Sales of men’s suits dropped by 15.89% in Apr. of BJ

According to Beijing Commercial Information Consultation Center， sales value of men’s suits in Beijing 18 mid-to-high range department stores in April 2013 was CNY 19.22 million. The data was 15.89% lower than last month and 28.94% lower than the corresponding period in last year. Total sales of men’s suits in this month declined and reached an new-low since 2013.

Top 10 department stores in terms of sales value

In April 2013， the 18 mid-to-high range department stores participated in the statistics， only 4 of them increased in sales value of men’s suits， compared with last month overall sales value dropped by15.89%.

Wangfujing department store continued to hold the first place， its men’s suits sales value was CNY 2.87 million， dropped by 14%. Both Yansha Youyi shopping mall and Xidan department store dropped by more than 20%. Their men’s suits sales value were CNY 2.53 million and CNY 2.51 million. They took the 2nd and 3rd places， respectively. Cuiwei Place continued to be the fourth， its men’s suits sales value was CNY 2.3 million， dropped by 5.89%； The rest of the department stores were between CNY 1.0 million and CNY 1.4 million in men’s suits sales. In the top ten stores， only Scitech and Shuang’an department stores achieved growth in men’s suits sales.

Top 10 department stores in terms of sales volume

In April 2013， the 18 mid-to-high range department stores participated in the statistics， 10 of them increased in sales volume of men’s suits， compared with last month overall sales volume increased by 0.75%.

Fuxing Commercial City and Xidan department store continued to hold the top two places in men’s suits sales volume. They increased by 18.34% and 5.46%， respectively. Their market shares were more than 20%. Wangfujing department store still took the 3rd place， dropped by 26.23%， its market share was 11.18%. From the fourth store to the eighth store， their market share were between 4.2% and 8.1%. The rest stores were less than 3%. In the top ten stores， both Shuang’an and Dong’an department stores increased by more than 50% in men’s suits sales volume.

Top 10 brands in terms of sales value

In April 2013， the top 10 men’s suits brands in the 18 mid-to-high range department stores participated in the statistics， only two of them increased in sales value of men’s suits.

S.D.Spontini， Kwunkeetailor and VICTOR claimed the 1st， 2nd and 3rd rank respectively in men’s suits sales value in April. Their sales values were between CNY 1.0 million and CNY 1.8 million. Sales values for the fourth to the sixth were between CNY 0.5 million and CNY 0.8 million . The rest brands were less than CNY 0.5 million. Among them， Youngor increased by 37.18%m/m， entered the top ten.

In April 2013， the top 10 men’s suits brands in the 18 mid-to-high range department stores participated in the statistics， only 3 of them decreased in men’s suits sales volume. this 10 brands accounted for 36.79% of the overall men’s suits sales volume in the 18 mid-to-high range department stores.

Youngor increased by 188.58%m/m in sales volume ，accounted for 6.6% of market share， claiming the 1st. EVE DE UOMO took the second place. Wumu and KAIWANG took the 3rd and 4th places in sales volume. Their market shares were between 2.6% and 3.5%. The rest brands were between 2.6% and 3.5%. MARSADIR had a growth of 117.23%m/m， entered the top ten.
