London is the capital of Britain.It is also the biggest city and the biggest harbor of the country.London is one of the biggest cities in Europe.It is also one of the four biggest cities,and the other three are New York of the USA,Paris of France and Tokyo of Japan.倫敦是英國的首都、第一大城以及第一大港，也是歐洲最大的都會區(qū)之一。它也是世界四大世界級城市之一，與美國紐約、法國巴黎和日本東京并列。

From 1801 to the early years of 1900s,as the capital of a world-wide empire,London was famous for its great achievements in politics,economics,culture,entertainment,and scientific and technological inventions,becoming the biggest cities of the world of the times.從1801年到20世紀(jì)初，作為世界性帝國——大英帝國的首都，倫敦因其在政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、人文、娛樂、科技發(fā)明等領(lǐng)域上的卓越成就，而成為那個(gè)時(shí)代全世界最大的都市。

London,in 1908,1948 two times held the Olympic Games.The 30thSummer Olympic Games’opening ceremony will start at 20:12 p.m.on July 27th(London local time),2012,when the eyes of the world will be on the city,which will be the third time London hosts the Summer Olympic Games.倫敦于1908年和1948年兩次成功舉辦奧林匹克運(yùn)動(dòng)會。第30屆夏季奧運(yùn)會將于2012年7月27日晚20時(shí)12分(倫敦當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間)開幕，屆時(shí)世界各地的人們都將關(guān)注這座城市，這也是倫敦第3次主辦夏季奧運(yùn)會。

想必大家對2008年北京奧運(yùn)會的“水立方”和“鳥巢”還記憶猶新吧！2012年倫敦奧運(yùn)會即將拉開帷幕，他們有什么特別的建筑會讓我們留下深刻的印象呢？下面就讓我們一起來看看吧！

London Bowl倫敦碗

The “London Bowl” is the main stadium for London 2012 Olympic Games.It is similar to the “Nest”of Beijing Olympic Games.Opening and closing ceremonies will be held here.“London Bowl” is considered as the “beating heart”of 2012 Olympic Games.The outside of the “London Bowl” is white.It is narrow at the bottom and wide at the top.It looks like a bowl.The structure is very simple.It is different from the magnificent style of the former Olympics.The idea that it can be torn down makes it unique.“倫敦碗”是倫敦奧運(yùn)會的主會場，與北京奧運(yùn)會的“鳥巢”有些相似。倫敦奧運(yùn)會的開幕式和閉幕式都將在這里舉行。“倫敦碗”被譽(yù)為倫敦奧運(yùn)“跳動(dòng)的心臟”。“倫敦碗”的外觀全部為白色，外形下窄上寬，酷似一個(gè)湯碗，結(jié)構(gòu)形式簡單明快，與歷屆奧運(yùn)會主會場追求宏大氣勢有很大區(qū)別。特別是其可拆卸的設(shè)計(jì)理念更使得“倫敦碗”顯得與眾不同，獨(dú)樹一幟。

There are 80 thousand seats,among which 25 thousand seats at the bottom and 55 thousand seats at the top.It can meet the needs of the Olympic Games.After the Olympic Games,the 25 thousand seats at the bottom will be reserved and the other seats will be torn down.It will be rebuilt as a community activity place.主體育場共設(shè)8萬個(gè)坐席，其中碗底部分設(shè)置2.5萬個(gè)坐席，上部設(shè)置5.5萬個(gè)坐席，完全可以滿足奧運(yùn)會體育賽事的要求。奧運(yùn)會結(jié)束后，除了保留碗底2.5萬個(gè)固定坐席，其他的坐席將全部被拆除，整個(gè)體育場將改建成一個(gè)社區(qū)活動(dòng)的場所。

Beside the “London Bowl”,there is a red iron building with a screwy and exaggerative style.It is Arcelor Mittal Orbit Tower.It is 114.5 high and is made of 1500 ton iron.Some people say it is related to the lighting of the torch.Some people say that the screwy shape is a metaphor of the Five Olympic Rings.And more people think it is the signal transmitting center.“倫敦碗”旁邊是一棟造型扭曲夸張、泛著耀眼紅色的鋼鐵建筑，叫做安賽樂米塔爾軌道塔，高114.5米，由1500噸鋼鐵建造而成。有人說這個(gè)建筑與點(diǎn)燃火炬有關(guān)，有人說扭曲的形狀暗喻奧運(yùn)五環(huán)，更多人認(rèn)為這是信號發(fā)射中心。

Swimming Hall游泳館

Not far from the “London Bowl”,it is the Olympic swimming hall.It is designed by a famous English female architect Zaha Hadid.At first,she designed a “wave”.Considering the seats were not enough,she added a pair of“wings” for the “wave”.So the seats can be increased from 2.5 thousand to 17.5 thousand.The hall is blue and white to draw people’s attention.As for the seats at the two sides of the swimming pool,the designer uses the nature light shadow to make the audience not see the other side.So they can pay attention to the swimming pool.離“倫敦碗”不遠(yuǎn)的地方，是倫敦奧運(yùn)游泳館，由英國知名女建筑師扎哈·哈迪德設(shè)計(jì)。原本扎哈設(shè)計(jì)了一片“海浪”，但考慮到座位不夠，后來又給“海浪”安上一雙“翅膀”，這樣就可以把座位從原本的2500個(gè)增加到17500個(gè)。整個(gè)游泳館采用藍(lán)白兩色，用來吸引觀眾的注意力；而游泳池兩側(cè)的座位，則利用自然光線形成的陰影，讓坐在看臺上的觀眾看不到另一邊，把注意力集中到泳池。

Basketball Hall籃球館

As the third largest venue in the Olympic Park,the basketball hall will hold the basketball finals,the handball finals,wheelchair basketball game and wheelchair rugby game.It is also the athletes’rest place during the opening and closingceremonies.The project sponsor of the basketball hall Snoddy says,“The basketball hall is one of the largest venues in modern Olympics.It will provide the audience and the athletes a wonderful experience that they have never had.”After the games,twothirds of the materials will be reused or recycled.作為奧林匹克公園內(nèi)的第三大場館，奧運(yùn)籃球館將舉辦籃球、手球決賽和輪椅籃球、輪椅橄欖球的比賽，也將成為開幕式和閉幕式期間運(yùn)動(dòng)員候場的地點(diǎn)。籃球館項(xiàng)目主辦人Snoddy說道：“籃球館將是現(xiàn)代奧運(yùn)中面積最大的場館之一，將為觀眾和參賽運(yùn)動(dòng)員提供一種前所未有的精彩體驗(yàn)。”比賽結(jié)束后，三分之二的材料將再利用或回收。
