例如:Such a magazine has little value except that you have time to kill. 像這樣的雜志除了消磨時間以外并沒有什么價值。

拓展:valuable adj. 重要的;有用的;be of value = valuable
例如:The arrival of Internet was of great value to many industries. = The arrival of Internet was very valuable to many industries. 因特網的出現對許多行業具有重大的意義。
【重點提示】of+抽象名詞=相應的形容詞，在句中可作表語、補足語和定語。
3. conclusion 1)\\ / \\ n. 結束，結尾;2) \\ n. 結論;
例如:I found the conclusion of his book very interesting.我覺得他這本書的結尾很有趣。
come to a conclusion 結束;bring … to a conclusion 使……結束;come to / reach / arrive at / draw a conclusion 得出結論;make a conclusion下結論
拓展:in conclusion \\總之;最后;conclude v. 結束;下結論
例如:The police concluded that he was the criminal of the murder. 警察認為他是這件兇殺案的罪犯。
4. consider vt.
1) 認為:① consider… (as / to be) +adj. / n.
例如:I consider him (to be) best friend. 我將他視為我最好的朋友。
② consider that…
例如:I consider that the news was 1. 我認為那消息不正確。
2) 考慮:① consider + n. / doing (即:consider + n. / doing)
例如:We considered his suggestion. 我們仔細考慮了他的建議。
He had considered giving up his job. 他考慮過辭職。

例如:We considered how we should help them.我們仔細考慮應該如何幫助他們。
拓展:1) 把……看作，認為……是的詞組還有:

5. tolerate vt. 容忍，忍耐，忍受 + 名詞 / 動名詞
例如:How was it that she could tolerate such noise?她怎么能夠忍受這樣的噪音?
She refused to tolerate being called a liar. 她拒不接受被稱為撒謊者。

【重點提示】這兩個詞組的時態基本都是用一般現在時。

general 指普遍存在于大多數人或事物之中。
common 多用于“常見的，不足為奇的”。
