Superhero
I worked in a drugstore when I was very small. Workinglong and hard, I treasured my lunch breaks when I could readlots of comic books. Superman, Batman, Spiderman and IronMan were some of my heroes.
There were always two distinct patterns in those books.
First, there was always a battle between good and evil. The battle was always tough[艱苦的]. No matter how strong thesuperhero was, evil pushed him to the very limit and mosttimes almost defeated him.
Second, the superhero was never paid by the society.Superman made money as a newspaper reporter; Batman, anindustrialist[企業家]; Spiderman, a photographer; Iron Man, theowner of Stark Industries. None of them were paid for beinga superhero and the contributions they made.
In other words, though they’ve risked everything forothers, real heroes don’tget paid for the superherostuff.
We can all do superhero stuff–volunteering, helping someone inneed, or doing anythingbeneficialthat takestime, effort, energyorresources.
