You should try to have a good relationship with your neighbours， because you neverknow when you need their help. If they do something to make you sad or angry， it is better todiscuss it in a friendly way than argue about it. For example， if your neighbours are playingloud music that you do not like， ask them politely to turn the music down instead of angrilysaying you will call the police if they do not turn it off.

Trees and fences can also be a cause of disagreements between neighbours. Mygrandmother liked to sit out in the sun after lunch， but her neighbour had put up a highfence that made a shadow over her front yard in the early afternoon. She did not want toargue with him， because he had given her a lot of help since my grandfather died.

As last， my grandmother thought out a great idea. She invited her neighbour for dinnerand shared her idea with him. He could make the fence lower enough to give her some sunwithout losing his privacy. In return， she would cut down the tree that reached to his gardenand dropped leaves all over his yard in the autumn.

The neighbour agreed on the idea， and then they lived in peace.
