On March 17, the 4th “Chongqing Gifts” Tourism Commodities (Cultural and Creative Products) Competition and Foreign-Affairs Gifts Solicitation was successfully held in Grass Linen Town, Rongchang District, Chongqing. This activity was jointly organized by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government, and the Peoples Government of Rongchang District. During this event, there was an enthusiastic response and active participation from various districts and counties across the city. Out of over 600 entries, nearly 70 were selected to be included in the foreign-affairs gift list. Leaders present at the event included Liu Qi, Director-General of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, Gao Hongbo, Secretary of the CPC Rongchang District Committee, Wan Rong, District Mayor of Rongchang District, Xing Jun, Deputy Director-General of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, and Feng Zimin, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government.
China has long been celebrated as the “Land of Etiquette”. In its interactions with other nations, the notion of “etiquette” carries deep historical significance, showcases the countrys rich cultural heritage, and captures the essence of its distinct national character. The activity has garnered extensive attention and enthusiastic participation from all sectors of society since its inception in 2020. In these years, 160 foreign-affairs gifts have been collected and more than 600 pieces have been sent as foreign-affairs gifts to over 30 countries and regions, including Rongchang pottery, Chengkou Shanshen lacquerware, and Ciqikou irregular embroidery. Foreign-affairs gifts have emerged as a vital component of international communication. These gifts encapsulate Chongqings distinctive cultural appeal and embody the warm-heartedness of its people. As they are showcased on the world stage and shared with the world at large, they serve to tell the story of China and the account of Chongqing.
Mrs. Wols, the wife of the Minister of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in China, and Mafalda Soares Nunes, the wife of the Consul-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Chongqing, were invited as the judges. Mrs. Wols was deeply impressed by the exquisite handmade crafts on display, including paper-cuttings, embroidery, grass linen, and bookmarks engraved with famous scenic spots in Chongqing, and Rongchang pottery. She expressed her belief that Chongqing is a city with a rich cultural heritage. Ms. Mafalda Soares Nunes said that the nominated works were exceptionally delicate and represented the most characteristic cultural and tourism products of Chongqing. As foreign-affairs gifts, these selected gifts will help promote cultural exchanges between China and other countries, and allow people from around the world to understand the unique regional cultures of various districts and counties in Chongqing.
3月17日,由市文化旅游委、市政府外辦、榮昌區人民政府共同舉辦的第四屆“重慶好禮”旅游商品(文創產品)大賽暨外事禮品征集活動在榮昌區夏布小鎮圓滿舉行。本次活動全市各區縣積極響應、踴躍參與,在600余件參賽參展作品中,近70件成功入選外事禮品名單。市文化旅游委主任劉旗,榮昌區委書記高洪波、區長萬容,市文化旅游委副主任幸軍,市政府外辦副主任馮子敏等出席有關活動。
中國素有“禮儀之邦”之稱,在對外交往中,“禮”體現了歷史內涵,彰顯了文化底蘊,代表了民族氣質。自2020年“重慶好禮”外事禮品征集活動啟動以來,得到了社會各界人士的廣泛關注和積極參與。連續幾年,成功征集外事禮品160件,并在對外交往中送出榮昌陶、城口山神漆器、沙磁亂針繡等外事禮品600余件,足跡遍及30余個國家和地區。外事禮品已成為國際交往的橋梁和見證,承載著重慶獨特的文化魅力,飽含著重慶人民的友好情誼,走出國門、走向世界,對外講述中國故事、重慶故事。
荷蘭駐華大使館公使夫人沃爾斯、荷蘭駐重慶總領事夫人包睦菲受邀擔任本屆“重慶好禮”外事禮品評委。公使夫人對現場展示的剪紙、刺繡、夏布,以及刻有重慶著名景點的書簽、榮昌陶器等手工藝品印象深刻,她認為重慶是非常有文化底蘊的城市。總領事夫人表示,此次參選作品非常精致,是重慶最具代表性和特色的文化旅游產品。作為外事禮品,將有助于促進中外文化交流,會讓世界各國人民了解重慶各區縣獨特的地域文化。
