【學情分析】

本節課的教學對象是八年級學生,他們已經掌握了一定的語言知識,且樂于用英語表達自己的觀點,但語言應用能力和高階思維能力有待提高。課堂應以學生為主體,基于學生的年齡特點、認知水平、生活經歷和興趣愛好,設計兼具趣味性和挑戰性的課堂活動,激發學生參與課堂的熱情,增強學生的獲得感,培養學生的學科核心素養。

【教學目標】

1.通過快速閱讀,了解線上旅行的方法,并獲取文章中關于紐約的主要景點及景點特色信息。

2.通過細致閱讀,比較中西方文化差異,思考作者的寫作意圖后,深入討論在線旅行的利與弊。

3.學會利用網絡獲取有用的信息,并能運用所學介紹自己的家鄉。

4.在生活中養成勞逸結合、健康向上的生活方式。

【教學重難點】

引導學生通過深入閱讀,比較中西方文化差異,思考作者的寫作意圖;嘗試運用所學介紹自己的家鄉;理解健康生活的重要性,養成勞逸結合、健康向上的生活方式。

【教學過程】

Step 1:Lead-in.(2 minutes)

T:Good morning,boys and girls.Just now,we enjoyed some beautiful pictures of places of inter?est around the world.Do you like them?Do you want to travel to these places?

Ss:Yes,Ido.

T:But can we travel around the world like be?fore?Why?

S:No.We can’t travel like before because of COVID-19.

T:What should we do if we want to travel around theworld?

Ss:Wecan travel around theworld online.

T:Great!And I have good news for you.Our school will have a study tour around the world this summer.But we need a tour guide online.Would you like to be our guide?

Ss:Yes!

T:To be a good tour guide online is not easy,you need to finish the following tasks:learn to use the website;learn about the places to visit;use a better guided language and have a guide tour prac?tice.Are you ready?

Ss:OK!

Step 2:Before travelling.(5 minutes)

Activity1:Read and find out basic information.

T:First,let’s try to learn to use the website.What is the name of it?

T:What information can you get from it?

S:We can spend eight hours travelling around theworld.

Activity 2:Read and complete.

【教學反思】

一、以德潤心:聚焦主題內容,創設主題語境

本節課主題語境的創設,滲透著鼓勵學生勇于嘗試、樂于展示、敢于分享的自信心培養策略。從標題、前言的閱讀技巧到非連續性文本的閱讀策略,從主要景點的梳理到作者寫作特色和寫作意圖的揣摩,從對旅行方式和意義的思考到模擬導游的實戰演練,學生能從每一次的交流互動、匯報展示中,體驗到成功的快樂,獲得進一步學習的動力。

二、以文育德:研讀語篇內容,挖掘核心價值

本篇文章的主體部分是對紐約市曼哈頓島幾個著名景點的介紹。這幾個景點各具特色,如何讓學生通過游覽這四個景點,體悟美國文化的精髓?

筆者利用思維導圖幫助學生梳理文章中提到的紐約的主要景點及其特色,接下來采用問題鏈的形式層層推進,帶領學生深入解讀文本,緊扣“a hard day’s work”,讓學生體會紐約作為流光溢彩的國際大都市,是機遇與挑戰并存的,引導學生自主思考紐約被稱為“the Big Apple”的原因。筆者抓住教育契機,將學生的思考引向更深處:How can we pick up the big apple in New York?文本內容的深入挖掘,為課堂生成搭建了支架。筆者在帶領學生探究文本主題意義的過程中,潤物無聲地做到了“以文育德”。

三、以德育人:創新學習內容,探究主題意義

本文介紹的是紐約的風景名勝,教師在引導學生學習、理解、鑒賞西方文化的同時,應教育學生講好中國故事,學會用英語將中國文化傳播出去,培養有中國根基的青少年。因此,筆者在本節課的最后環節設計了微寫作任務,讓學生用英語介紹自己的家鄉。課堂上,當學生自豪地介紹自己家鄉的景點時,那份自信讓人動容。

整節課的設計以落實“立德樹人”為根本目標,關注學生學科核心素養的培養。也許,這不是一節完美的課,但當學生走出課堂時,他們的心中除了遠方,更多的是自己生長的這片土地。他們明白了只有自信、勇敢、勤奮,才能逐夢遠方。
