走出比較級和最高級用法中的誤區(qū)

誤區(qū)一：比較對象非同類

兩個人或事物進行比較時要用比較級，這時常用到連詞than，且進行比較的兩個人或事物必須屬于同一類，非同類的人或事物一般不能比較，否則會造成不合邏輯的錯誤。例如：

1. 你們的教室比我們的教室亮。

誤：Your classroom is brighter than us.

正：Your classroom is brighter than ours.

2. 冬天長春的天氣比廣州的天氣冷。

誤：In winter the weather of Changchun is colder than Guangzhou.

正：In winter the weather of Changchun is colder than that of Guangzhou.

誤區(qū)二：亂用比較級修飾詞

比較級前一般可用much， a little， a lot ， still， a bit ，far， even等修飾詞來說明程度， 但不能用very， quite， too， so等修飾。例如：

1. I think the mooncakes with meat in them are much more delicious than the ones with nuts in them.

我認為肉餡月餅比果仁餡月餅好吃的多。

2. Lily’s mooncake is a little smaller than Li Lei’s.

莉莉的月餅比李磊的月餅小一點。

誤區(qū)三：比較級前全不用定冠詞 the

比較級前一般不用冠詞，但在下列情況下比較級前卻常常用定冠詞the。

1.在含比較級的句子中有of the two 這類意義的詞組時。例如：

Lucy is the taller of the two.

露西是兩個人中較高的那一個。

He is the thinner of the two boys.

他是那兩個男孩中較瘦的一個。

2.“the+比較級，the+比較級”是常見結構，表示“越……，就越……”之意。例如：

The harder you study， the more you will learn.

你越努力，就學得越多。

The busier he is ，the happier he feels.

他越忙就越高興。

誤區(qū)四：形容詞最高級前都用定冠詞the

形容詞最高級前一般應用定冠詞the，副詞最高級前則可用可不用。但當最高級前有形容詞性物主代詞或名詞所有格修飾時，其前的定冠詞the必須省略 。例如：

The moon is our nearest neighbor in space.

月球是太空中離我們最近的鄰居。

Jim is Mr Green’s youngest son.

吉姆是格林先生最小的兒子。

誤區(qū)五：混用介詞in和of

最高級的范圍常用介詞in或of短語引出，但二者有區(qū)別。in后常跟表示單位、組織等的單數名詞，該名詞與前面的主語不屬于同類;而of后常跟表示人或事物的復數名詞，該名詞與前面的主語屬于同類。例如：

Who is the strongest in your family？

你們家誰最強壯？

Ann is the oldest of all the girls in her class.

安是她班上所有女孩中最大的。
