（3）fruit n. 水果。如：

Bananas and apples are fruit.

注意：fruit 是不可數(shù)名詞，但指水果種類時，則是可數(shù)名詞。

名詞是指人或事物的名稱。總的來說，名詞分為專有名詞和普通名詞。名詞按其所表示的事物的性質(zhì)分為可數(shù)名詞和不可數(shù)名詞。

1. breakfast 早餐;早飯

（1）泛指“早飯”，前面不加冠詞。如：

What time do you have breakfast？

你什么時候吃早飯？

We have porridge for breakfast.

我們早飯喝粥。

（2）如果breakfast有修飾詞，前面通常加不定冠詞“a”。如：

He had a quick breakfast this morning.

他今天早餐吃得很快。

注意：以上用法通用于lunch和dinner，另外“吃早/午/晚餐”常用have breakfast/lunch/supper。

2. Sports Star Eats Well！

體育明星吃得好！

（1）eat v. 吃。它作及物動詞時，后面可接名詞作賓語，表示“吃……”，也可作不及物動詞。如：

Eat some apples， please.

請吃些蘋果。

We eat three times a day.

我們每天吃三頓飯。

比較：eat和have的區(qū)別

① eat常和具體的食物名詞連用，也可單獨使用，后不跟食物名詞。如：

The boy likes eating strawberries.

那個男孩喜歡吃草莓。

Dont eat too much. Its bad for you.

別吃太多，對你沒好處。

② have表示“吃”的意思時，常和三餐名詞連用，涉及具體吃的食物時，可與eat互換。如：

She has breakfast at 7：00 am.

她上午七點吃早飯。

（2）well? adv. 好，令人滿意地，修飾動詞。

Sportsman eats well.

運動員吃得好。

She plays the guitar well.

她吉他彈得好。

注意：good和well都表示“好”。good作形容詞，常置于名詞之前;well作副詞，常置于動詞之后。如：

He is a good player， and he plays football well.

他是一名優(yōu)秀的運動員，而且他足球踢得很好。

3. eating habits 飲食習(xí)慣

該名詞短語中eating是動名詞作定語，修飾habits。

類似短語有：

4. I think its healthy.

我認(rèn)為它是健康的。

healthy用作形容詞，意思是“健康的;對健康有益的”，可用來修飾名詞，也可單獨在句子中作表語。如：

Many fast foods are not healthy.

反義詞：unhealthy 不健康的

5. I like chicken for dinner.

我正餐喜歡吃雞肉。

（1）“Sb like（s） + 食物名詞 + for + 某餐.”表示“某餐某人喜歡吃……”如：

—What do you like for dinner？

晚飯你喜歡吃什么？

—I like vegetables and rice for dinner.

晚飯我喜歡吃蔬菜和米飯。

（2）for是介詞，意為“至于;對于”，其后跟名詞或代詞。如：

For us， English is very important.

對于我們來說，英語是非常重要的。

He likes beef for dinner.

他正餐喜歡吃牛肉。

6. I dont want to be fat.

我不想變胖。

（1）該句為含實義動詞（want）的一般現(xiàn)在時的否定句，其主語為第一人稱，故用dont否定。如果句子的主語為第三人稱單數(shù)，則用doesnt否定。

（2）want用作動詞，意為“要;想要”。其常見用法如下：

① want sth 想要某物

I want some rice.

我想要些米飯。

② want to do sth 想要去做某事

She wants to ask a question.

她想問個問題。

③ want sb to do sth 想要某人去做某事

Jack wants me to go to school with him.
