Sun Ruizhe， president of China National Textile and Apparel Council， said in his speech that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China. Over the past 70 years， China has developed into the worlds largest producer， consumer and exporter of textiles and garments， and has become an important industrial platform supporting the smooth operation of the world textile industry system and promoting the coordination and cooperation of the global economy and culture. In this process， the textile and garment industry clusters have made important contributions， and Humen is one of them. As a major town in Chinas textile and garment industry， Humen continues to lead the industry in upgrading， its sustainable development capability continues to improve， and its resource gathering capacity is growing， forming a sound industrial support and a mature market trading system. Humen， which has held 23 consecutive fashion fairs， is becoming an important member of the Chinese fashion industry and plays an increasingly important role in promoting regional economic development and promoting fashion culture cooperation.

On November 11th， Humen and the China National Textile and Apparel Council signed an agreement in Beijing to jointly build a world-class textile and garment industry cluster pioneer zone. Yang Xiaotang， member of the Standing Committee of the Dongguan Municipal Committee and minister of Propaganda Department， said in his speech that the textile and garment industry is an important component of Dongguans manufacturing industry. After more than 40 years of development， it has achieved a transformation from “quantity”accumulation to “quality” and has formed a largescale industrial clusters， well-equipped industrial chains and mature and developed market systems. As an important industrial cluster of textile and garment industry， Humen has been committed to building an industrial platform， cultivating fashion brands， promoting industrial synergy and innovation， and making an important effort to promote the transformation and upgrading of Dongguan textile and garment industry.
