Recently， a picture of a soaking wet father holding an umbrella for his son in a New York street has been transferred widely on the Internet. According to the World News Network， on Sept. 17th， the mystery of “Father Umbrella” is unveiled. His name is Liu Qiao， graduated in Electronic Engineering from Nanjing University in 2003. He worked as a diplomat for 3 years and now an operation manager of JP Morgan Chase Investment Bank in midtown Manhattan.

Modern Express reporter contacted Liu Qiaos roommate and counselor teacher in Nanjing University， who said Liu Qiao was brilliant in their memory and that scene holding an umbrella in the rain for his son matched peoples impression on him. The scene moved countless netizens， commenting“Fathers love is as great as a mountain.”

Every afternoon after work Liu Qiao will go to Fala Hong Wah Nursery School to pick up his four-year-old son home， for which reason he begins to work at 7 in the morning. Liu Qiao told the World News Network reporter the photos were taken in September 10th. Because of the sudden rain， he only took a spare umbrella in the office to pick up his son.“When I was waiting at the kindergarten gate， it suddenly poured raining. My home is near， so there is no need to avoid rain.” Liu Qiao said that giving the only umbrella to his son in the rain was a very natural instinct and getting praised so widely was beyond his expectation.

Some netizens questioned， “Why didnt he hold his son？” Liu Qiao thinks he has been creating the best conditions for this son instead of doing all the things for him and let him battle for himself. “I want him to do things by himself， so I did not hold him and the schoolbag was also on him. But after all he is too young to resist cold， so I held an umbrella to protect him from the rain.”

劉僑每天下午下班后都會去法拉盛康華幼兒園接四歲的兒子回家，為此他早上7點就開始工作。劉僑向世界新聞網記者回憶，雨中撐傘照片被攝于9月10日。因為下班時突然下雨，他只能帶著辦公室里的一把備用雨傘去接兒子。“一出幼兒園的門，雨突然下大了，但是因為我家就在附近，所以沒避雨。”劉僑表示，把傘全部給兒子遮是非常自然的本能，沒想到被網友如此稱贊。

對于有些網友質疑：“他為何不抱著兒子？”劉僑認為他一直采用這種給兒子創造最好條件而不是幫他做好所有的事，同時要讓他自己面對的教育觀念。“我希望他自己的事情自己做，所以不會抱著他，書包也讓他自己背。不過畢竟他年幼，抵抗力差，還是要撐傘以免著涼。……
