Study on the Application of Impressionist painting in Modern Men

Abstract：Impressionism，born in France in the 1860s，is an important art school in the history of western painting.“Light” and “color” are the main aims pursued by Impressionist painters.Impressionist painters advocate walking out of the studio，depicting natural scenery under natural light and grasping the instant impression by quick means，thus making the picture appear fresh and vivid.Taking Monet，the representative painter of Impressionism，as an example，this paper analyzes and induces the characteristics of Monnais painting，and combines the design thinking of the new period，and applies the characteristics of Monnais painting to modern mens clothing design.It provides a new design direction for the development of Impressionist painting in modern menswear and further enriches the practical value and development prospect of Impressionist painting in modern menswear design.

1.Application significance of Monnais painting in modern mens wear design

With the rapid development of society，the aesthetic taste and taste of clothing consumers have also been significantly improved.More and more men are also pursuing personalized fashion.However，the current mens wear design is basically black，white and gray in terms of color.In terms of style，there are only T type and H type，which are much less than the styles of womens wear.From the perspective of fabrics，the decoration is very low，without too many details.Even if there are pockets or fabrics，the decoration mostly emphasizes the functional features.The visual effect formed by a single or simple structure can no longer meet the personalized needs of young men for clothing，which requires designers to pay more attention to mens wear design and create more attractive male clothing for consumers.And impressionist paintings has its rich and strong visual effect，with the famous impressionist Monnais paintings，for example，Monnai painting the visual effect of strong and do not break the harmonious，light feeling variety and unification，various color sense and do not break delicate，brush pile arrangement and do not break aesthetic feeling，it can attract the attention of the viewer.If the characteristics of Monnais painting colors and brush strokes are integrated into the modern mens wear design，then the colors，styles and fabrics of mens wear will have different effects than before，which will more meet the personalized aesthetic needs of young men in the new era.

2.Application of Monnais painting features in modern mens wear design

First of all，in terms of style，partial pictures or some patterns drawn by Monnai can be cut out to apply to the breasts of modern mens wear，and then the breasts of mens wear should be widened appropriately to make mens wear show t-shape，so as to highlight the visual effect.Can also be it the content extraction of a whole picture comes out，try splitting again，the shoulder ministry that USES in menswear，collar band，cuff or knee wait for a place，the design that brings aggrandizement visual effect to menswear and local.Monnais work is not only a classic beautiful painting，but also rich material for modern mens wear design.

Secondly，in terms of color，the most attractive visual elements in impressionist paintings are nothing more than their colors and brushstrokes.Color is also an important language in costume design，which not only plays a leading role in winning peoples attention，but also plays a role in communicating emotions and ideas.After analyzing the color characteristics of the painting the figure in the pink again extracted using in modern mens clothing design，coupled with local ornament，purple blue to make the color with deep light，priorities and harmonious unification，this not only changed the past mens tradition of grey system，and makes men more interesting and personalized features.In the same way，the color of any Monnai painting can be extracted to provide a rich color matching scheme for modern mens wear.

Finally，from the production process analysis，the weaving process has a rich expression，the use of different fiber weaving techniques can make the material show rich color sense and different texture sense，not only let the design produce tactile texture and visual strong sense，and will give people a deep impression and feeling.This mens wear design will choose the traditional weaving process，using the weaving process of flat weaving，tufting and hanging method to the impressionist painting visual effect and brush in the fabric texture.Flat knitting method can select wool of different thickness and different colors to mix together to create a virtual and solid，hazy visual effect.This is because the thickness of wool，the change in depth and the number of yarns of different colors affect the effect of flat knitting，thus presenting the hazy picture effect in Monnais painting.However，the tufting method in weaving technology gives people a feeling of fine，various and orderly arrangement.However，monets painting has many small strokes，but there is no lack of harmonious and unified effects.Therefore，it is necessary to adopt yarn of the same color system and complementary color system to show the effect of broken strokes by tufting.

The visual shock of impressionist painting and the design concept brought by its brushwork have important reference significance for modern mens wear design to adopt the aesthetic sense of the art world.Analysis，for instance by Monnai series Monnai painting can be drawn lessons from the woven fiber art elements，the development of the impressionist painting and fashion design concept of similarities，help to inspire the creative inspiration of the appearance of modern menswear design personality，more helpful in mens clothing market out of the fabric，the color of a single mode，to cater to the aesthetic needs of modern young men of clothing.
