Research on the Globalization of English in the Internet era

Preface

In the early 20th century，?English has established its position in the global development. However， with the development of the Internet， the globalization of English has become more and more obvious， and also experienced the evolution process from being?disapproved to eventually becoming a common language. Now， English has occupied an indispensable role in the world. Different countries have different languages and cultures， so English has obvious local color. However， on the Internet， tolerance and integration of local color make English a new language style.

1.The implications of the Internet age

People now enjoy the life of a way to chat， that is on the Internet， however， this approach is mainly derived from the development of the Internet， and this way of online chat has become the indispensable entertainment in people's life， so， in the process of the chat， people use the network language slowly， but also became one of communication and expression， is no longer the previous single sentences such as “people meet how are you？ What are you doing？ ”Instead，?“surfing the Internet， Do you have the habit of surfing the Internet？ "， "Do you have MSN？ ”?and so on are becoming popular.More and more teenagers are addicted to the Internet. As we all know， the Internet is a double-edged sword， which can enrich their life and absorb knowledge through proper use of the Internet. As a result， parents are worried about their children?when they are be addicted to the Internet. With the wide use and popularization of the Internet， more and more network languages and English phrases have appeared in people's life.Although network language is in the stage of exploration and development at present， it is also affected by many factors. However， network language also brings new vitality because of the combination of English and network， which makes network language present a new development trend. Appear on the network of a new language is generated by the people in the network communication， now， using the network language this kind of phenomenon is ubiquitous in all around us， not only that， but now the network has played an important role in our life， with the development of globalization， English people to learn the first language is English， therefore， we can clearly understand that we have to learn English and using the Internet， because we can learn English in the network， familiar with English.

2. The role of English globalization in the Internet era

Today， interpersonal communication is no longer confined to the traditional way of communication?such as the letter， telex， etc.?With the development of the Internet era， there is a saying that can describe the current state of people's life： "the scholar does not go out， and knows everything in the world." This state of affairs in the undeveloped technology of the ancient be naught but empty words， but for now，?it already is a very common thing， as long as you have a computer in hand， so you can know all the things.?So， the Internet age has pushed the development of culture， in ancient times， people want to learn foreign culture， traditional essence， but also in other countries， now， just open the computer， input the information， then everything will was acutely， of course it may not be the most accurate， but it is the most effective. Network era in the development of English globalization also narrows the communication between our each other， we can through the network to use English to communicate with people in different countries， it also convenient for us to learn other people's advantage， raise， the development of the network is endless， the network can drive the globalization of English， I believe that the globalization of English is bound to bring network times more profit and development space.

3. Summary

Now we all know that English is our national language， but that doesn't mean we received discrimination， the language and culture of other countries， therefore， we should face up to our point of view， and actively to keep up with the pace of the Internet age， the strong of our own native culture， but also the excellent culture to absorb and draw lessons from other countries. We should realize that the global development of English has brought more benefits to us， made our communication more and more close and enriched our daily life. We should also actively maintain the diversity of world languages in the maintenance of our national language and culture.
