On Humanisim and Harmonious Development of Society through Uncle Tom’s Cabin

【Abstract】Uncle Toms Cabin is a revolutionary novel about slavery in the southern United States.The whole novel is full of Christian teachings and benevolence，The greatest enlightenment of the role of image and the moving story culture to the development of society is：Kindness and justice are fundamental to the harmony and development of the world.The core of this study is to see the harmony between human heart and social development from Uncle Toms cabin.

I. Humanism in Uncle Toms Cabin

The humanism in Uncle Toms Cabin is Christianity， which embodies tolerance and fraternity. The book of Uncle Toms Cabin is dominated by the same theme：The evils and immorality of slavery. When Mrs. Stowe writes about minor themes-such as the moral authority of mothers and the possibility of Christian salvation-she emphasizes the link between these themes and the horrors of slavery.Mrs. Stowes Puritan religious beliefs were revealed at the end of the novel and extended to all themes; she explored the nature of Christianity and argued that there was an irreconcilable contradiction between Christian theology and slavery.When Eva died， Tom implored her beloved St. Clare to “l(fā)ook back at Jesus，” and when Tom died， George Shelby praised him with “be a Christian.”Because in Uncle Toms Cabin， Christian themes have a lot of weight， and because Mrs. Stokes express direct and frequent religious feelings in the novel， the novel is often considered to have a “sermon form.”Mrs. Stowe， described by President Lincoln as “a little woman who wrote a book that caused a great war，” described in delicate ink a black slave image of Tom， who was honest and honest， obedient， unrepentant， obedient， and faithful. For us who grew up in the 21st century， I think there will probably never be a chance to experience such a thing， because now the society is shouting “Human Rights， Equality”！Perhaps because of the ugly society at that time， we can learn from history and do not let history repeat itself. We see the development of society， but also sympathize with those who died for the development of society.It was because so many slaves had been treated unequally， and because of this work of Mrs. Beechstown， that people were woken up and fought.Now， in our political book of the second year， it is written that even the perpetrators have the right to human dignity.So here we have to see the duality of things. Everything has a good side and a bad side. Because of the darkness of the time， so that people today have a clear understanding of respect for anyones personality！Uncle Toms Cabin， Mrs. Beechstowns work， has been published for more than 150 years.Over the last 150 years， different people have had different experiences.Over the last 150 years， different people have had different experiences.In the whole process of development and pursuit， Uncle Toms inspiration is that the premise of social harmony and development is the pursuit and importance of “fraternity， humanism， affection and love”. Without the theme of love and respect for life and personality， there will be no harmony and happiness.
