3月27日，市四屆人大常委會(huì)第三十五次會(huì)議審議了《重慶市人民政府關(guān)于提請(qǐng)審議重慶市與土耳其伊斯坦布爾市建立友好城市關(guān)系的議案》。29日，市四屆人大常委會(huì)第三十五次會(huì)議審議通過了關(guān)于同意重慶市與土耳其伊斯坦布爾市建立友好城市關(guān)系的決定。

在市四屆人大常委會(huì)第三十五次會(huì)議第一次全體會(huì)議上，市政府外事僑務(wù)辦主任吳康明介紹，土耳其共和國連接歐亞兩洲，是北約成員國、經(jīng)濟(jì)合作與發(fā)展組織創(chuàng)始會(huì)員國和二十國集團(tuán)成員國，世界第16大經(jīng)濟(jì)體。近年來，中國與土耳其經(jīng)貿(mào)合作穩(wěn)步開展，交通、電力、冶金、電子通信成為雙方的重點(diǎn)合作領(lǐng)域。

吳康明說，重慶與伊斯坦布爾市同為“一帶一路”上的重要支點(diǎn)城市，近年來雙方友好交流與合作取得積極進(jìn)展。土耳其的地理位置和地緣政治戰(zhàn)略意義重要，是我市拓展中東市場(chǎng)的重要目的地。重慶市與伊斯坦布爾市合作基礎(chǔ)良好，產(chǎn)業(yè)互補(bǔ)性強(qiáng)，交流合作前景廣闊。兩市正式建立友好城市關(guān)系，將進(jìn)一步推動(dòng)雙方在經(jīng)濟(jì)、貿(mào)易、航空、物流、文化、教育、旅游等領(lǐng)域的友好交流和互利合作，助推我市內(nèi)陸開放高地建設(shè)。

據(jù)悉，土耳其第二大航空公司奧努爾航空在2016年7月14日已開通重慶到伊斯坦布爾的直飛航線，這也是奧努爾航空公司在中國的首條航線。如今，土耳其最大的城市伊斯坦布爾將和重慶建立友好城市關(guān)系，對(duì)土耳其歷史人文感興趣的市民可以通過直航赴伊斯坦布爾一探究竟。伊斯坦布爾不僅在地理上橫跨兩洲，而且還兼收并蓄歐、亞、非三洲各民族思想、文化、藝術(shù)之精粹，從而成為東西方思想文化的一個(gè)重要交匯點(diǎn)，隨之遺留下許多源遠(yuǎn)流長的名勝古跡。

伊斯坦布爾市位于土耳其博斯普魯斯海峽兩岸，跨歐亞大陸，是黑海門戶、連接歐亞兩洲的樞紐要道，戰(zhàn)略地位重要。伊斯坦布爾市是土耳其最大的港口和工業(yè)、運(yùn)輸、經(jīng)濟(jì)、貿(mào)易、文化中心，也是古代“絲綢之路”的終點(diǎn)，人口約1437萬，總面積6220平方公里，市區(qū)面積1539平方公里，工業(yè)、金融業(yè)、漁業(yè)、畜牧業(yè)、園藝業(yè)發(fā)達(dá)。工業(yè)門類主要有紡織、食品、電子、水泥、煙草、船舶修理等。

Another new international“friend”: Chongqing will establish sister city relationship with Istanbul

On March 27,the f le of“On the Proposal by Chongqing Municipal People’s Government to Ask for Deliberation and Approval of the Establishment of Sister City Relationship between Chongqing and Istanbul,Turkey”has been deliberated and approved by the The First Plenary Session of the 35th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal People’s Congress.In this meeting,Wu Kangming,director of Chongqing Municipal Foreign Affairs Office,introduced that Republic of Turkey,connecting Europe and Asia,is the sixteenth largest economy in the world,and acts as the founding member of NA TO,and the member of OECD and G20.In recent years,China has made a stable progress in the cooperation with Turkey in the following key f elds of transportation,electric power,metallurgy,electronic communication.

Mr.Wu said that Chongqing and Istanbul,the important pivotal cities in the Belt and Road Initiative,have gained positive achievements in the mutual friendly exchanges and cooperation.Turkey is advantageous in its geographical location and geopolitical strategy,which serves as an important destination for our city to expand the Middle East market.Chongqing and Istanbul have a good foundation for mutual cooperation with strong industrial complementarity and broad prospects for exchanges and cooperation.The establishment of sister city relationship between two cities will further promote the friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas of economy,trade,aviation,logistics,culture,education,tourism and so on,thus boosting the development of our inland opening-up.

Istanbul,located on the shore of the Strait of Bosporus in Turkey and across the Eurasian continent,is the gateway to the Black Sea,and the pivot of connecting Europe and Asia,possessing an important strategic position.Istanbul is the largest city and port,and the center of industry,transportation,economy,trade and culture in Turkey.Standing at the end of the ancient“Silk Road”,it has a population of about 14.37 million with a total area of 6,220 square kilometers and 1,539 square kilometers of urban areas.It is advanced in industry,f nance,f shery,animal husbandry and horticulture with a vast varieties of industrial sectors including textile,food,electronics,cement,tobacco,ship repair and so on.

It is said that the Onur Air,the Turkish second largest airline,opened a direct f ight from Chongqing to Istanbul on July 14,2016 which is the frst route opened in China by Onur Air.Istanbul not only crosses the two continents of Asia and Europe but integrates the essence of thoughts,culture and art from Europe,Asia and Africa for which it becomes the important intersection of both eastern and western thoughts and culture with numerous famous time-honored historic and cultural sites left.At present,as Istanbul,the Turkish biggest city will establish the sister city relationship with Chongqing,citizens who are interested in the Turkish history and humanity can seize the opportunity to have an exploration by taking the direct f ight.
