【教學過程】
Step1 warm up
1. Sing a song”whats this?”
2. Chain work
Get students to ask “whats this?” one by one, holding the things in their hands or pointing at the things nearby.
Step2 Presentation and practice
1. Show the pictures of Su Hai and Yang Ling “Who is she?””Where are they?”
2. Students watch the cartoon and try to find the answer.
A: They are on a farm.
3. Show pictures to help students understand what farm is.
Read and repeat the phrase/ sentence”on a farm” “Its a farm.”
4. Look and say
A) Get students to look at the picture and read as Su Hai and Yang Ling.
Learn to say “a pig”. (Group reading, Little train)
Show different pictures of the pig. T asks Whats this? Ss: Its a pig.
B) Get students to look at the picture and read as Su Hai and Yang Ling.
Learn to say “a lamb”. (Little train,one by one)
Read and Act. Three students work in a group.
5. Listen and guess
Get students to listen to the voice of a duck. “What else do they see on the farm?”
Learn to say “a duck”. (Group reading, Little train)
Show different pictures of the pig. Ss: Whats that? T: Its a duck.
6. Say a chant with music
Get students to say the chant first, then try to tell the difference between this and that.
Step3 Consolidation
1. Listen and repeat the tape.
2. Read in groups.
Game (Hide and guess)
Show one letter of each word, get students to guess what animal it is.
Eg, g S1: Whats that? S2: Its a dog. ?S3: Whats that? S4: Its a pig.
3. Enjoy a song “Old Mac Donald had a farm”
Homework
1. Listen and repeat story time several times.
2. Act and guess the animals to others.
