Paperworld 2016 closed with numerous orders

Genuine innovations and new products inspire buyers

The trio of international consumer-goods fairs –Christmasworld， Paperworld and Creativeworld in Frankfurt am Main – ended with well-filled order books for the 2，873 exhibitors from 67 countries （2015*： 2，833）. Around 83，000 German and international trade buyers placed numerous orders from 29 January to 2 February 2016（2015*： 83，867）. According to a poll conducted by Messe Frankfurt， the exhibitors of all three trade fairs were very pleased not only with the extremely good level of orders but also with the high degree of trade-buyer internationality and the excellent contacts made. All three parameters rose in comparison to last year. “In addition to increasing the number of exhibitors， we also succeeded in attracting more new international buyers to Frankfurt and were thus able to further improve our exhibitors’ sales chances. Spurred by the positive economic indicators， the many visitors were more than willing to place orders”， said Detlef Braun， Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt， summarising the results of numerous discussions with exhibitors， trade associations and retailers. “The Who’s Who of the consumergoods sector got together here in Frankfurt over the last five days and thus emphatically underscored the leading international position of the three fairs for their sector，” Braun continued. This was clearly to be seen at Paperworld： a positive mood in the trade and a further increase in the proportion of international trade visitors （69 percent） ensured a host of satisfied exhibitors who rated the event as having been even bette than in 2015 in all respects： visitor quality， new contacts made， orders taken during the fair and target groups reached， all of which led to a furthe increase in target achievement during the fair.

Paperworld 2016： the leading meeting place for the sector

A total of 1，608 exhibitors from 59 countries presented their products （2015*： 1，636 exhibitors from 61 countries） at this year’s Paperworld Of the exhibitors， 261 came from Germany and 1，347 from abroad. This year， the trade fair welcomed 36，733 visitors （2015*： 39，278） The number of international trade visitors from 139 countries remained stable at the same high level as in 2015 whereby there was a particularly good development in the number o visitors from overseas. Thomas Bona， Directo of the Association of Brand Name Paper， Office Supplies and Stationary Manufacturers （Verband der PBS-Markenindustrie）， rated the new sales chances in the export sector positively and said， “Paperworld in Frankfurt is unsurpassed in terms of visitor and exhibitor internationality For our member companies that pursue expor strategies to sell their products abroad， the fair in Frankfurt represents a substantial platform righ on their doorstep. We are very pleased with the standard of international buyers.” The bigges nations in terms of visitor numbers were Italy the United Kingdom， France， the Netherlands Poland， Turkey， Spain， the USA and Greece Particularly numerous were new visitors from Turkey， the Ukraine， Columbia， Argentina and Iran.
