這是一個there be句型。結(jié)構(gòu)：there be+sb/sth +地點，表示在某地有某人或某物（there是引導(dǎo)詞沒有詞義；be 是謂語動詞；某人/物是主語，地點作狀語，多為介詞短語）。

注意：

（1） there be句型的謂語動詞be在人稱和數(shù)上應(yīng)與后面的第一個名詞保持一致。如果后面的名詞是可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞，謂語動詞用is；如果后面的名詞是可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)，be 動詞用are。

2. The pay phone is across from the library.

across from是方位介詞短語，意為“在……對面”。常見的方位介詞短語包括：next to 在……旁邊，between... and... 在……和……之間，in front of...在……前面，in the front of... 在……的前部。

（1） crossing n. 十字路口

turn left/right at the + 序數(shù)詞 + crossing = take the + 序數(shù)詞 + crossing on the left/right，意為“在第幾個十字路口向左/右轉(zhuǎn)”。

= Take the second crossing on the left.

在第二個十字路口向左轉(zhuǎn)。

（2） on one’s left 在某人的左邊；on one’s right 在某人的右邊。
