Perspective and Research of the Criticism of American Serious Drama to Social Reality

Ⅰ.Racial equality:reflect the criticism of the American serious drama to the social reality

1.Existence of social status of racial discrimination is regarded as the basic direction for criticism to social reality in the serious drama

It is analyzed from the cultural viewpoints expressed by American serious drama that the core of the serious drama is specific directional criticism to the current social situation.In terms of the political,cultural and economic development reality of the American society,there are serious inequality characteristics in the society and the most obvious is the racial inequality,so the racial discrimination phenomenon is sharp.Regarding this angle of view,the cultural viewpoints expressed by the American serious drama are to criticize the realism positively,intensity the role of the national equality in promoting the social economic,political and cultural development on the basis of the social equality of sex and race and express the discontent with the national equality in the current realistic society from the side for the active promotion for the environmental construction of social development.It is just because of such critical thinking of reality that the serious drama has been subject wide social concern and ideological acceptance by all nations in the cultural development progress of the American society.〔1〕The racial inequality and discrimination have been strongly criticized in the American realistic society development,conform to the new development direction of pursuit of equality and freedom in the contemporary American culture and produce extremely advantageous optimization role in the social reality development environment,so the social criticism perspective of the American serious drama has certain social microcosmic color.

2.Serious drama pursues cultural equality and regards the racial culture inequality as the main viewpoint of criticism to social reality

Cultural equality is a key element for social sustainable development and the root for elimination of the social contradictions.American serious drama makes deep thought expression for the cultural equality,strongly criticizes the cultural inequality in the social region and highlights the directivity characteristics of the critical thinking.The American cultural formulation is of certain diversity and the scope involved in the cultural sources is wide,so different cultural development thoughts result in different cultural development directions and the inequality and inner contradictions in the American cultural development are thus formed.The American serious drama,based on the identity development concept of drama culture,strongly criticizes the cultural inequality development reality,thus forming powerful cultural promotion for the social cultural equality development and racial cultural development.〔2〕From another perspective,the American serious drama objectively reflects the social development phenomena,positively expresses the inequality development status of the racial cultural development and reflects the inequality in the development of racial cultures with the fundamental of dramatic performance means,so as to specifically criticize the social reality of the racial culture inequality development in the American society,effectively give expression to the voice of pursuit of cultural equality from the side and become the cultural action factor promoting the overall development of the American culture.

3.Serious drama is based on the racial belief inequality and takes it as the key point of American society reality criticism

As an important part of racial culture,the racial belief can reflect the basic social dynamics of the diversified development of the American culture.The differences between the racial beliefs in the basic status of the American realistic society cultural development result in unequal treatment,so the social contradictions between the races are intensified and become the main contradictions for social development.This status is mainly caused by two reasons:different cultural development sources and certain differences in the connotation of the racial culture.Therefore,the American serious drama emphasizes the equal treatment of racial belief,effectively resolves the inner contradictions between the social races on the basis of respect for the racial beliefs to avoid and resolve the social contradictions,fully embodies the internal relevancy between the racial beliefs through dramatic performance and effectively communicates the common cultural development objectives of the racial beliefs to reflect the fundamental pursuit of the social cultural entirety development.

Ⅱ.Rebellion against tradition:act as an important viewpoint of criticism of American serious drama to social reality

1.American serious drama emphasizes the fine social tradition inheritance and criticizes the backward traditional secular vision

Inheritance of the excellent traditional social culture is the core driving force to promote the social development and the hard core for effective development of the social economy and politics.However,the social connotation reflected by the traditional culture is single in the overall progress of the modern social cultural development and the advocated social democracy and freedom cannot be better realized in the social class and status.〔3〕American serious drama,combined with the basic form of excellent social tradition inheritance and development,criticizes the basic objectives for inheritance and development of the social traditional culture and highlights the unreality of the social freedom and social equality,so as to objectively reflect the restrictions formed by the secular development vision of social culture and culture economy and highlight the role and value of the excellent traditional culture to the social macroscopic development environment in terms of cultural spirit.The critical thinking of the serious drama is to deeply reflect the inequality in the social political,economic and human development on the basis of the new requirements for social cultural development,so that the social development reality can be clearly presented in critical angle.

2.Serious drama pursues the excellence of traditional thoughts and attacks the traditional thoughts restricting the social development in disguised form

The thought value of the traditional culture is prominent and the cultural development viewpoints summarized by predecessors through long-term experience accumulation can form powerful times promotion role to the progress of the social culture.Analysis of the cultural development status of the American realistic society shows that the common viewpoints lie in certain traditional characteristics of the traditional cultural thoughts and cannot adapt to the new requirements for the social development in the times,so the common viewpoints shall be restricted effectively.The formation of such viewpoints is to deny the inner thought value of the traditional American culture and the application value in the fierce cultural experience cannot be reflected,so the ideogenetic constraints are formed for the cultural development in the American society.The serious drama,based on the inherent spirit and thought effect of traditional culture,effectively expresses the culture excellence and then attacks the American society development reality in disguised form according to the culture and art situation,effectively expresses the social cultural development viewpoints advocated by traditional cultural thoughts and intuitively reflects the promoting role for the realistic society development,so the thought excellence of the traditional culture is fully reflected.〔4〕Such basic performance of powerful response of the American serious drama to the development status of the traditional social culture highlights the spirit and thought value of the serious drama in the inheritance and development of traditional cultural thoughts.

3.Serious drama emphasizes diverse development of traditional cultures and powerfully fights back the rigid transmission of traditional thoughts

The diversified inheritance and development of traditional culture is the core of the cultural development concept in the American society.However,from the perspective of the social cultural development,the characteristics reflected by the inheritance of the traditional culture in the cultural development in the American society are singleness and rigidity,so the social cultural construction does not form the new trend of times development to a certain degree.This status is caused by two reasons:single cultural inheritance path and certain limitations in the connotations of traditional culture and modern culture.This aspect is not deeply valued in the cultural development background in the modern American society,resulting in social racial culture development imbalance,blanks in social human development and certain restrictions to the macro development in all fields of the American society.American serious drama powerfully interprets the diversified development viewpoints of the traditional culture,powerfully fights back the rigid communication and development status of traditional culture,objectively reveals the cultural requirements of the American society development fundamentally and meets the internal requirements of the social public for the cultural development atmosphere.Therefore,the cultural critical viewpoints of the serious drama in the social development reality are widely recognized.〔5〕

Ⅲ.Equality of values:become the new direction of criticism of American serious drama to social reality

1.Serious drama highlights human social value distinctiveness and shows colored spectacles to treat the human social functions

From the perspective of the value factors constituting the social development,the comprehensive development of the American society is comprehensive integration and intercoordination of different value elements to promote comprehensive development of all society fields.Due to certain differences of social value between man and man,the social promotion roles between man and man can be mutually supplemented and finally provide different driving force for the ultimate goal of the overall social development.However,analysis of the development status of the American society shows that the differences of social value between man and man become an important factor for social inequality development and the reflection direction of the social value results in threat to the equal relationship between man and man,so that the contradictions in the American society are of certain complexity.The American serious drama expresses different social values between man and man in a disguised form through application of the dramatic techniques and fully embodies the social meaning and social function of the social value,so as to present the thought of pursuit of equal treatment of social value between man and man.〔6〕From another perspective of thought,the basic reality status in the development environment of American society can contradict the dramatic thoughts.

2.Serious drama shows inequality of human function value and reflects inequality between man and man in the society

The fundamental thought expressed by the content involved in American serious drama is denial of the fair development status of the American society and even concrete expression of inequality of the microcosmic value roles between man and man to a certain degree.American serious drama reflects social sensitive topics at the subjective level,embodies the reality status of the social development and powerfully attacks the reality status of the social development.Regarding the value equality of the social roles between man and man,the serious drama is to fully express the authenticity of the dramatic content through dramatic performance and objectively display the specific differences in the view angle of the social role value between man and man in the social development environment to fully express the existing inequality psychology.In such dramatic performance process,the audience may be correctly guided on the cognitive psychology of the role value equality between man and man intangibly,but it shows from the side that the inequality between man and man in the society is powerfully fought back,so that the critical perspective of the social reality in the American serious drama can meet the wishes of the social grassroots and the American serious propagates the social value equality thoughts in a disguised form and proposes direct reality critical viewpoints for the social value inequality development status.

3.Serious drama expresses dominance of human development concepts and reflects inequality of the human social reality concepts

It can be seem from the cultural development status in the American society that certain differences in the development concepts between man and main are the key factor to promote social development and progress.However,the development concepts do not have absolute advantages and disadvantages and can only be judged whether to meet the social development trends;but the latter cannot be based on scientific cognition in the development reality environment of American society,instead,the former is affirmed.〔7〕The inequality between man and man is formed in such social development environment,so that the social development thoughts are differentiated and the social contradictions are intensifying.The development status is criticized accordingly in the overall thoughts expressed by the American serious drama,the times adaptability of the social development concept is emphasized and the human development concept dominance is fully rejected to set off the development concept of “Everyone is equal” in the social development progress in the serious drama by contrast,so as to form ideological criticism to the overall status of the social development reality thoughts.It is the root cause for wide concern of the serious drama in the American society and expresses the internal psychology of the social reality treatment concept inequality.The serious drama may directionally criticize the internal roles of the macroscopic thoughts of the American society development in objective significance.Ⅳ.Conclusion

The development thoughts presented by the serious drama are to specifically criticize the development inequality of the American realistic society,so that the social inequality phenomenon can be communicated at a deeper level.The serious drama,as an important platform for wide propagation of the mass psychology in the American realistic society,gives deep expression of the discontent in the social development reality status,specifically points to the equal and free development direction of the social development from the side and provides cultural promotion for the future equal and free development of the American realistic society.

The development of the American serious drama can adapt to the effective response of the social public to the social developmental psychology and social reality and present the criticism of the realistic society development status.The American serious drama makes analysis from the perspective of social development and criticizes the inequality in the realistic society based on pursuit of the equality of race,cultural inheritance and social value.The American serious drama can express the voice of the social public,conform to the cognitive psychology of the realistic society by the social public,highlight the specific development status in the American realistic society and express corresponding development viewpoints for the development direction.
