M/W: Christmas Day is always on the same date every year—December 25th. Every body in England enjoys Christmas. People seem to be happier than at any other time of the year, even though there are many things to do to get ready.

First, we have to make sure that we have enough to eat and drink. People usually have a big Christmas dinner with either a duck, turkey or beef. Then of course, we have to make the Christmas cake.

Second, we usually cut down the Christmas tree. Then the children cover it with lights, and put an angel on the top. So it looks really beautiful. Everybody gives each other presents for Christmas. We put the presents under the tree on Christmas and open them on Christmas Day. Nobody can open their presents before Christmas Day!
