On March 10, 1876, Alexander Bells first successful transmission of voice by telephone lines marked the arrival of phone era. On that day, Bell accidentally knocked off and splashed some sulfuric acid on his clothes in the laboratory, so he summoned his assistant Watson loudly: "Mr Watson, come here, I need you!" It then became the first sentence transmitted through telephone line.
Apart from the telephone, Bell made pioneering contributions in optical communication, aviation and other fields as well. He is not only a famous inventor, but also an outstanding entrepreneur. After the invention of telephone, in 1877, he founded Bell telephone company, which was at a time the world's largest phone service providers and he also created "Bell Labs" named after himself.
