China-Africa Trade & Economy Cooperation Reaches News Heights

\"Today the China-Africa trade economy cooperation has reached new heights. China is willing to share with African partners its industrialization experiences and offer capital, tech-nology and human resources support for the industrialization of Africa.\" said Chinese President Xi Jinping during attending China-Africa Leaders and Industrialists Senior Dialogue and 5th China-Africa Entrepreneur Conference in December of 2015.

China-Africa Trade Economy Cooperation further Developed

By the end of 2014, China had invested $101 billion and built more than 3,100 companies in Africa; China-Africa trade volume reached $221.9 billion in 2014. China has become the major partner of Africa in trade, investment, infrastructural construction, trade investment cooperation zone and other areas.

At this year's China-Africa Entrepreneur conference, Chinese countries and their African counterparts signed more than 20 agreements, involving infrastructure, chemical and financial sectors and with a total value of about $13 billion.

When President Xijinping visited South Africa during early December, China and South Africa signed 26 cooperation agreements worth ZAR 94 billion (about 41.6 billion yuan), covering mining, tourism and electric power industries.

President Xi raised five sug-gestions at the China-Africa Entre-preneur Conference, including cooperation on equal basis for win-win situation, open, inclusive and multilateral cooperation, cooperation based on real capabilities, green, low-carbon and sustainable development and cooperation on infrastructure.

President Xi said that China and African countries have an open cooperation in trade and economy and companies from other countries are welcomed to join this cooperation for achieving the win-win situation. China is willing to share with African countries state-of-the-art technologies to combine China's advantageous industries with African developmental needs, deepen industrial cooperation, improve local labor force quality, create more jobs and increase intrinsic motivation for African countries.

President Xi said that China will send experts to Africa, build vocational training center and increate training of African talents and communications among entrepreneurs, to help meet the needs of talents and capacity building of African industrialization. China will also launch environmental protection projects for African countries to address climate change, train more expert talents in the realm of environmental protection, and help African countries embark on the road ofgreen,low-carbon and sustainable development. Meanwhile, he said that China would conduct a comprehensive action plan of China-Africa trade and economic cooperation, to enhance African sectors such as agriculture, water conservation, traffic infrastructure and power supply, support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and promote the anti-poverty and life benefiting projects.

South African President Zuma said in the past 15 years, Africa-China trade and economic cooperation has achieved great accomplishments. President Xi announced a number of cooperation measures to bring energy and confidence to the African developments. To further enhance China-Africa trade and economy cooperation, Zuma suggests measures including the enhancement of African industrialization capacities, acceleration of construction of special economic zones, industrial and high-tech parks, enhancement of technological transfer and skill trainings, improvement of added value of African produce, development of trade and market entry, increase of the ratio of high value- added products in China-Africa trade and extension ofvalue chain.

Mr.Mugabe, African League President and Zimbabwe president, said that African countries hope to follow the successful experiences of Chinese industrialization and enhance cooperation with China in manufacturing sector to reduce dependency on export of natural resources and primary commodities, increase added value of export products and promote transformation of the energy sector.

CCPIT aims to promote China- Africa trade and economic communication

When attending China-Africa entrepreneur conference, Jiang Zeng-wei, chairman of the CCPIT said that China and Africa are economically comple-mentary and consistent in development strategies, so there is great potential of bilateral cooperation. The CCPIT will make use of its advantages to facilitate the upgrading of cooperation between Chinese and African enterprises in terms of capacity. It is known that during the China-Africa cooperation forum summit. The CCPIT and UN Industry Development Organization signed MoU, in which both sides are committed to strengthen cooperation and communications to conduct trade and investment in developing countries like China, to raise their economic competitiveness and increase jobs in the manufacturing sector.

Mr.Jiang said the CCPIT pro-vides services for both government and enterprises and will accelerate cooperation and communications with African governments and civil institutions, to improve the formulation of legal regulations in trade and investment. Also, the CCPIT will set up investment projects based on characteristics of African countries.

He said that nowadays China is undergoing economic structural reform and industry upgrading, to further opening up to the foreign world and promote the outbound investment and operation of Chinese enterprises. Meanwhile African countries are in the process ofindustrialization and modernization. To combine Africa' regional market integration will bring fresh opportunities for the cooperation between industry and business circles of both sides.

Meanwhile, Jiang Zengwei gave high praise of the significance of this conference, which reatly promotes the integration of development strategies between China and Africa. It also improves the Africa's investment environment to improve localinfras-tructural construction, increase Africa's self-development capabilities and enhance African competitiveness the world economy. For China, the benefits of this conference include creation of favorable conditions for Chinese outbound investments and export of advanced industries and surplus capacities to African countries, the promotion of bilateral trade structure and industry upgrading and the support of foreign business operations of Chinese enterprises.

Regarding the future of China-Africa trade and economic cooperation, Mr.Jiang said that the CCPIT will play its role in utilizing advantageous channels to provide corporate cooper-ation in following four aspects:

The first is the improvement of China-Africa Industry and Commerce Cooperation Mechanism and enhancement of communications between the CCPIT and business associations and trade promotion institutions of African countries. Let China-Africa Joint Chamber of Com-merce play its role in the promotion of dialogue and communications between the business industry and governments. The CCPIT will speak for the business industries and provide suggestions for the government to raise trade faalitation capabilities and create favorable environment for enterprises ofboth sides.

The second is to create trade and investment cooperation platform. The CCPIT will help create communication platform for Chinese and African enterprises through comprehensive and professional exhibitions and trade investment forums. It will also increase industry integration and capacity cooperation between Chinese and African industries relying on regional trade promotion institutions and promoting regional industry and trade promotion activities.

The third is to enhance infor-mation services through the con-struction of trade database and e-commerce platform. It also provides information consultation services and publishing market survey reports, to build up connections between China and African enterprises, helping companies acquire more knowledge of market supply and demands, investment environment and policy regulations, to better facilitate communications.

The fourth is to enhance com-mercial and legal services including trade dispute mediation, trade arbitration and trade friction risk alarm. It aims to solve issues in bilateral trade and investments based on new conditions of China and Africa enterprise cooperation.

China-Africa Leaders and Indus-trialists Senior Dialogue and 5th China-Africa Entrepreneur Conference are hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce, the CCPIT and South Africa Trade and Industry Department. Leaders from China and Africa had communications about topics including infrastructure, transportation, manufacturing sector, agricultural sector, financial sector and minting sector. Chinese representatives number 186 and come from 109 companies. The 109 companies include 46 state-owned enterprises and 63 private companies, which are quite typical in China-Africa trade and economic cooperation.
