吳季剛獲總統(tǒng)就職舞會的首肯

On Monday in a sense he won the lottery for the second time. He’s a young designer who twice studied Michelle Obama， twice dreamed the way she should look， and twice she agreed.

There it was， that red dress， created for the first lady by a 30-year-old named Jason Wu. He was once just a little boy growing up in Taiwan， who was not like the other kids. His family was traditional. But his parents understood that genius is rarely like everyone else.

Jason： So I begged my mother to get me a sewing machine， and so she got me a sewing machine for Christmas. I think having parents who understood that was a blessing， is a blessing， because otherwise I probably would have just become an…a misunderstood child.

He was nine years old when he moved to Canada， learning English by reading fashion magazines. And he must have created 1）baffled looks when his first two words in English were the name of a super model.

Jason： It was 2）Stephanie Seymour. It was.

And then four years ago， the brand new designer took a chance. He sent a dress to the unusual woman about to become first lady.

Jason： I looked up every single photo of her and I really studied her posture， her preferences.

He spent hour after hour trying to capture who she was. He knew she moved like an athlete so the dress had to move. It was white and she was young， so it was 3）studded with surprise.

In that moment， Jason Wu became a certified superstar. But believe it or not， four years later， last Monday， he was in New York and didn’t know until she walked out that （s）he had chosen the dress he dreamed for her once again.

Jason： And I really wanted the vision of confident， commanding presence.

Two people， two surprising success stories in America.

那條紅裙子登場了，它是由一個年屆30，名叫吳季剛的人為第一夫人設(shè)計(jì)的。他從前只不過是一個在臺灣長大的小男孩，可是他的表現(xiàn)與其他小孩子不大一樣。盡管他來自一個傳統(tǒng)的家庭，但他的父母明白天才與眾不同。

吳季剛：我央求母親給我買一臺縫紉機(jī)，她就送了一臺給我作為圣誕禮物。我覺得能有理解自己的父母是一種福分。這真是一種福氣，否則，我可能只會成為一個不被人理解的孩子。

他九歲時(shí)移居加拿大，通過閱讀時(shí)裝雜志學(xué)習(xí)英語。他首次開口說的兩個英語單詞竟是一名超級模特的名字，這一定讓其他人困惑不已。

吳季剛：那名字是斯蒂芬妮·西摩，正是這名字。

四年前，這位新晉設(shè)計(jì)師抓住了一個機(jī)會。他將一件禮服裙寄給這個即將成為第一夫人的不同尋常的女人。

吳季剛：我查閱了她的每一張照片，認(rèn)真研究了她的姿勢、她的愛好。

他花了無數(shù)個小時(shí)試圖捕捉她的特征。他知道她的舉動像一名運(yùn)動員，所以服飾一定要便于行動。裙子是白色的，她顯得很年輕，所以這裙子灑滿了驚喜。

就在那一刻，吳季剛成為了一個公認(rèn)的超級明星。但信不信由你，四年之后，就在上星期一，他人在紐約，直到她亮相的一刻他才知道她再度選擇了他為她設(shè)計(jì)的裙子?！?br>
