Illness will bring various anxieties to a patient，and surgery itself is a bigger catalyst for serious psychological reactions.Anxieties they may have before their surgery are inevitable.Sometimes，these can affect the success of the surgery and their recovery from illness.Therefore，it is very important to give preoperative health instructions to patients.It should begin as soon as the decision to have surgery is made.Health education，in general，includes guidelines for nutrition，activity and resting，guidance for mental health and physical examinations，postoperative rehabilitation，instructions for family members，and preoperative preparations，etc.These guidelines are given by operating room nurses，and they are an important part of preoperative patient education.

背景

病人葛女士，38歲，文員。因多發性子宮肌瘤入院。明日準備在連硬麻下進行子宮切除術。醫生來看病人后，病人一直呆坐在病床上。護士小李來到其病床，欲為其進行手術前準備，發現此情況，對其進行護理。Background

Patient Mrs.Ge，38years old，a clerical staff，was hospitalized because of multiple-myoma of the uterus.Uterectomy will be performed the next day under continuous extradural anesthesia of the spinal cord.After the doctor’s visit，the patient was sitting on the bed sluggishly.When nurse Li came to the ward to do the preoperative preparation，she noticed this situation and began her nursing care.

護士：葛女士，你明天要手術，現在我要為你進行一些手術前的準備工作，好嗎？

病人：（無力地、面無表情地說）做吧。

護士：（看了看她的表情，微笑著說）你是不是對明天的手術擔心呢？

病人：不，不擔心。沒什么好擔心的。我的子宮上長了這么多的肌瘤，手術是免不了的。而且，手術后，就沒有月經了，我的貧血就可以糾正了。

護士：那你是擔心手術后會對你的身體及日后的生活帶來什么影響吧？Interactions

Nurse：Ms.Ge，you will have the operation tomorrow.Now let me do some preoperative preparations for you，OK？

Patient：（showed no expression）Go ahead.

Nurse：（Nurse Li looked at her and said with a smile）Are you worrying about tomorrow’s operation？

Patient：No，I’m not worried.There are so many myoma in my uterus，the operation is inevitable.Also，I’ll have no more menstruation after the operation and my anemia would be corrected.

Nurse：Then you must be worried about how the operation will affect your health and living，right？
