摘 要:針對開關穩壓器中負載電流檢測難以同時做到準確、同步和結構簡單這一難題,結合自己多年工作經驗,提出了一種新穎的開關穩壓器負載電流檢測的新方法。其基本原理是利用斷續模式(DCM)下負載電流與同步管柵極驅動信號N_DRV的同步關系,通過檢測該柵極信號來檢測開關穩壓器的輸出負載電流。這種方法不僅使負載電流檢測同步和準確,且同時克服檢測電感平均電流帶來的電路結構復雜及實現上的困難。該電路經過HSpice仿真驗證,其僅消耗5 μA的靜態電流,工作狀態良好。 關鍵詞:開關穩壓器; 斷續模式; 電流檢測; 柵極信號

Novel Current Testing Method Suitable for Switching Voltage Stabilizers

Abstract: A method to test the load current of switching voltage stabilizers is presented to implement the aim of testing the load current synchronously and exactly, and meanwhile to achieve the simplization of the circuit structure. Based on the correlation between the load current and the grid signal N_DRV of synchronous switch in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM), the output load current of switching voltage stabilizers is tested through detecting the grid signal. This technique mentioned above can not only detect the load current synchronously and exactly, but also overcome the circuit structure complexity brought about by the detection of the average inductance current. The Hspice simulation of the circuit indicates that the circuit only consumes 5μA quiescent current.

0 引 言
隨著電子產品向小型化、便攜化的趨勢發展,單片集成的高效、低電源電壓DC-DC變換器被廣泛應用。在許多電源管理IC中都用到了電流檢測電路。在電流模式PWM控制DC-DC變換器中,電流檢測模塊是組成電流環路的重要部分,用于檢測流過功率管和電感上的電流,并通過將電流檢測結果和電壓環路的輸出做比較,實現脈寬調制的效果。在電壓模式PWM控制DC-DC變換器、LDO、Charge Pump等電路中,它還可以用作開路、短路、過流等節能和保護性目的。
傳統的電流檢測方法[1-3]有3種:
(1)利用功率管的RDS進行檢測;
(2)使用檢測場效應晶體管檢測;
(3) 場效應晶體管與檢測電阻結合。
針對開關穩壓器,不同于傳統的電流檢測方式,本文提出了一種新穎的電流檢測方法。
1 傳統的電流檢測方法[4]
