比較等級的特殊用法和注意點

表示甲在某方面超過乙時，通常用“形容詞/副詞比較級 + than”這個結構，三種或三種以上的人或物比較時，通常用“形容詞/副詞最高級”。表示甲在某方面和乙相同時，通常用“as+形容詞/副詞原級+as”結構?，F(xiàn)將形容詞/副詞比較等級的特殊用法和注意點小結如下。

一、兩者之間的比較

兩者之間進行比較時，通常用比較級；口語中常用最高級。例如：

1. Of the two pictures， the old one is the more expensive. 在兩幅畫中，舊的那一幅比較貴。

2. She is the youngest of the two daughters. 她是兩個女兒中最小的。

3. Which is the tallest structure， the Eiffel Tower or the Washington

Monument？ 哪一座建筑更高，艾菲爾鐵塔還是華盛頓紀念碑？

注意：1.當兩者之間進行比較，而且比較范圍用of短語時，比較級前面要加定冠詞the。例如：He is the fatter of the two brothers. 在兩兄弟中，他比較胖。

2.當兩種事物比較多與少時，如果是可數(shù)名詞進行比較，而且表示一種比另一種少時，要用句型“fewer +可數(shù)名詞 + than”結構；如果是不可數(shù)名詞進行比較，要用句型“l(fā)ess+不可數(shù)名詞+than”結構。反之，表示一種比另一種多時，不管是可數(shù)名詞還是不可數(shù)名詞，都要用“more +可數(shù)名詞/不可數(shù)名詞 + than”結構。例如：

1. He joins fewer clubs than I. 他參加的俱樂部比我少。

2. He has more free time than I. 他的空余時間比我多。

二、比較級的重復使用

比較級的重復使用通常有“get + 比較級 + and + 比較級”和“ the + 比較級…，the + 比較級…”兩種句型結構。前者表示“越來越……”； 后者表示“越……，越……”。 例如：

1. In winter， the days are shorter and shorter. 冬季白天越來越短。

2. The more exercise you take， the healthier you will be. 你越鍛煉就會越健康。

注意：多音節(jié)形容詞/副詞比較級重復使用時，只重復more。例如：

Beijing is getting more and more beautiful. 北京變得越來越美麗。

三、用比較級結構代替最高級

A.“形容詞/副詞比較級 + than + any other + 單數(shù)名詞”或“形容詞/副詞比較級 + than + anyoneelse”結構。例如：

1. Is there anyone else here who can do it better than Mr Li？ 這兒有誰能比李先生做得更好嗎？

2. John is taller than any other boy（anyone else） in his class. =John is the tallest boy in his class.

約翰是他班里個子最高的男孩。

B.用“形容詞/副詞比較級 + than + any + 單數(shù)名詞”結構。例如：

1. Shanghai is bigger than any city in Jiangsu.上海比江蘇任何城市都大。

2. Li Gang swims better than any student in our class. 李剛游泳比我們班任何一個學生都好。

注意：用比較級結構代替最高級時要注意比較對象的不同。一般情況下，比較的雙方必須是同類。若比較雙方屬于同一范圍，則要用other/else把自身從被比較的另一方中區(qū)分出來。other用于名詞之前，else用于anyone/everything/nothing等代詞之后。比較雙方不在同一范圍內，則不用other/else。

She stayed here longer than anyone else.她呆在這兒的時間比任何人都長。

四、用比較級結構表示同級比較的否定句

同級比較的否定句可以用比較級來表示。例如：

1. Peter is taller than Amy. =Amy is not as tall as Peter.艾米沒有彼特個子高。

2. I think Math is less interesting than English. = I think Math is not as / so interesting as English. 我認為數(shù)學沒有英語有趣。

注意：A.同級比較中的形容詞是same時，通常用定冠詞the代替as，即用“the same as結構”。例如：His score is the same as mine. 他的得分和我的一樣多。

B.同級比較中的形容詞修飾單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞時，應注意不定冠詞的位置。例如：This is as good a map as any. 這是一幅與其他地圖一樣好的地圖。
