Great changes have taken place in my hometown of Nanjing over the years.In the past,the roads were narrow and muddy,but now they are wide and clean.People used to travel by coach or bike,but today there are more cars and taxis on the street.People can also choose metro or bus which is convenient and fast.

The city’s appearance has been improved.Once,there was still litter on the street,but now it is much cleaner due to the government’s contribution to plant green trees on both sides of the road and create more open spaces.

Great changes in my hometown

My hometown,Nanjing,has undergone tremendous changes over the years.As a middle school student,I have witnessed some great changes and feel proud of the progress.

In the past,the roads were narrow and muddy,but now they have become wide and clean.People used to rely on coaches or bicycles for transportation,but today,cars and taxis have become a common sight.Moreover,the convenience of commuting has also been enhanced with the introduction of the metro and bus systems.

In addition to the improvement of infrastructure,another significant change is the quality of living for citizens.Gone are the days when people were confined to small houses.Most have now upgraded to spacious apartments.The comfort and convenience of everyday life have truly been elevated.

Nowadays,there are also more diverse entertainment options available.Our indoor entertainment used to be listening to radio and watching TV,but now most families have computers and other Internet products.Additionally,the outdoor entertainment environment has been greatly improved.The previous Yangtze River floodplain has transformed into a bustling entertainment oasis park.On the weekend,the fitness trail is crowded with families leisurely biking,and the air is filled with laughter and excitement.

Faced with these incredible changes,I am reminded of a Chinese proverb:“Change is the only constant in life.”These transformations have not only influenced the physical landscape of Nanjing but have also touched the hearts of its inhabitants.I am truly grateful for experiencing such great changes and look forward to the continuous development of my hometown.
