“眾志成城”出自左丘明《國語·周語下》中的“眾心成城，眾口鑠金”，“眾心成城”后演變為“眾志成城”，原義是大家同心協力，就像城墻一樣牢固，比喻大家團結一致，就能克服困難，獲得成功。

In the twenty-third year of his reign, King Jing of Zhou collected copper from the people to cast two big bells. One year later, the big bells were cast.
