1Beijing to realize coal-free heat supply in 2025

北京2025年基本實(shí)現(xiàn)供熱“無煤化”

Beijing authorities have released a plan for energy development from 2021 to 2025. According to the plan, Beijing will strengthen the control of the amount and intensity of energy and carbon emissions and continue to promote clean energy use in rural areas. By 2025, the city will achieve a coal-free heat supply. Beijing will improve its natural gas supply capacity and form emergency reserves of about 1.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas by 2025. By 2025, newly-added installed power generation capacity of renewable energy will reach about 2.1 million kW. An additional 45 million square meters will be heated byrenewable energy［可再生能源］.

北京市政府近日印發(fā)《北京市“十四五”時(shí)期能源發(fā)展規(guī)劃》。根據(jù)規(guī)劃，“十四五”時(shí)期北京將強(qiáng)化能源、碳排放的總量和強(qiáng)度雙控，并繼續(xù)推動(dòng)農(nóng)村清潔能源替代，到2025年基本實(shí)現(xiàn)全市供熱“無煤化”。根據(jù)規(guī)劃，“十四五”時(shí)期北京將提高天然氣供應(yīng)保障能力，形成14億立方米左右的天然氣應(yīng)急儲(chǔ)備能力。到2025年，本地可再生能源新增發(fā)電裝機(jī)容量達(dá)到210萬千瓦左右，新增可再生能源供暖面積4500萬平方米。

2 China to boost green development of Belt and Road

推進(jìn)共建“一帶一路”綠色發(fā)展

China willpromote［推廣，促進(jìn)］the green development of the Belt and Road, strengthening international cooperation on the issue, the country’s top economic planner said. China aims to enhance cooperation in multiple areas with the countries along the Belt and Road by 2025 and form a green development pattern for the initiative by 2030, according to a guideline issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and three relevant departments. Cooperation on clean energy will be deepened as China encourages solar and wind power companies to “go global”, and promotes technological cooperation in areas including renewable energy, advanced nuclear power,smart grids［智能電網(wǎng)］and hydrogen energy, said the guideline. China will continuously optimize the trade structure and vigorously develop trade in green products featuring high-quality, high-tech and high-added-value, it added.

國家發(fā)展改革委等四部門聯(lián)合印發(fā)的《關(guān)于推進(jìn)共建“一帶一路”綠色發(fā)展的意見》提出，到2025年，共建“一帶一路”生態(tài)環(huán)保與氣候變化國際交流合作不斷深化，綠色發(fā)展重點(diǎn)領(lǐng)域合作扎實(shí)推進(jìn)。到2030年，共建“一帶一路”綠色發(fā)展格局基本形成。意見強(qiáng)調(diào)，深化綠色清潔能源合作，鼓勵(lì)太陽能發(fā)電、風(fēng)電等企業(yè)“走出去”，重點(diǎn)圍繞高效低成本可再生能源發(fā)電、先進(jìn)核電、智能電網(wǎng)、氫能等開展聯(lián)合研究及交流培訓(xùn)；持續(xù)優(yōu)化貿(mào)易結(jié)構(gòu)，大力發(fā)展高質(zhì)量、高技術(shù)、高附加值的綠色產(chǎn)品貿(mào)易。

3Chinese relay athletes to receive Olympic medals

4Italians face fines for wasting water

People living in some northern Italian towns face fines for wasting water as mayors ration supplies amid a severedrought［干旱，旱災(zāi)］. Italy has had one of its driest winters in the last 65 years, with rainfall 80% lower than the seasonal average. The situation has been more acute in northern regions, where some areas have been deprived of significant rainfall for three months or more. The Po, the country’s longest river, is at its lowest level recorded in winter since 1972. Mayors of towns in regions including Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy and Trentino have introduced water-rationing measures, ranging from fountains being switched off and nightly restrictions on tap water to bans on using water for gardens and allotments, for washing cars and filling swimming pools. Fines of up to €500 are in place for those deemed to besquandering［浪費(fèi)］supplies.

5EU proposes new rules to discourage disposable fast fashion

歐盟新規(guī)打擊一次性快時(shí)尚

The European Union warned consumers to stop using their clothes like throwaway items and said that it plans to counter the polluting use of mass-market fast fashion. New rules proposes by the EU’s executive arm call for a mandatory minimum use of recycled fibers by 2030 and would ban the destruction of many unsold products. The European Commission rules also seek to contain the release of micro plastics and improve global labor conditions in the garment industry.
